Nexstar Media Group and Sinclair Broadcast Group have brought Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show back to their local TV stations.

Called it. These guys were losing money every day they didn't air Kimmel's show. Because, despite Kimmel's ratings being low, the show is still profitable. Foolish MAGA diehards on these forums were claiming they would valiantly keep Kimmel off of their affiliated local channels, but that simply was never in the cards.
