News Jeremy Stephens Returns To The UFC To Fight Mason Jones At UFC Iowa May 3rd

Decently sell a 2025 fight night card in Iowa without the only known active fighter from Iowa. I'll wait.

99% of sales will be for Jeremy, hopefully he's getting a cut.

Fucked if I know. Reported payout for the Eddie fight was 200k, but that could be made up.

It seems BKFC whip out the money for the guys with names, but maybe that isn't true if Jeremy is coming back to MMA, where it's way harder for someone with his skillset. He also has no real hope of getting into big fights at the top of the division at this point, while at BKFC he was probably set for a title shot.

According to Tapology he's the opening prelim, so he's probably getting chump change. Also, he was supposedly signed to GFL too, and even talked about it in an interview recently. BKFC's contracts are weird, he's probably a free agent already, like their current HW champ Rothwell.

lol BKFC ain't the UFC with the slave contracts. They are probably like go ahead fight in your hometown them come back no big deal. If he wins it just looks better for them.
Exactly what I was thinking. It's a win win for them. He either wins then makes them look good, loses who cares he is still great in bkfc. Plus its hometown probably trying to do him a solid. Hard to believe when all we watch is ufc. Some businesses have a little heart.

Weird since he definitely hopped on gear for BKFC like it's normal there.

Not sure bo is winning that fight. Guess will see if he can handle a high level submission guy

Mason Jones? You sure you're thinking of the right guy? Jones has 3 subs in his 15 wins and hasn't had one in since his 4th pro fight like 8 years ago or something.

Edit: oops. You said Bo, I went by the thread title LOL and you were talking about Bo vs RDR and not Jeremy vs Mason Jones. My bad haha.

Assuming this is a retirement fight for Stephens, that's pretty appropriate. Would be a nice sendoff to fight in his hometown, win or lose

Action-fighter will get lots of hometown love

Jeremy still has a lot of dog in him and hope he wins

He won't be able to be great back in BKFC though because he'll be stuck in a UFC contract. BKFC might let him fight elsewhere under contract, but there's no way the UFC will let him just go back to BKFC.

I haven't watched Mason's fights since he got cut, but the version that was in the UFC wasn't that impressive. Hard fight for Jeremy, but he might be able to win.

It's pretty likely that Jeremy just racks up another bunch of losses for fuck all cash though.

1-8 with 1 NC in his last 10 MMA bouts lol. They must be hoping to fill the arena with his friends and family.
