News Jeremy Stephens Returns To The UFC To Fight Mason Jones At UFC Iowa May 3rd

I love the violence that Stephen's brings. I hope he gets the W and gets to fight a few more times.

To bad that gif works best on McGregor himself these days

Really surprised by this, Stephens was doing great in BKFC and he is perfect for that style where you need a good chin and to be able to take it, but also have power inside and fight in the pocket.

He has been getting long distance point fighting decision losses a lot in his recent UFC run, seems silly to go back for another point fighting decision against him. I don't get it really. BKFC is so made for him

He complained about money before and after the fight, i guess BKFC never really opened the wallet for him, UFC probably offered a couple of fights for decent money.
I think if anything he accepted a low-ball offer from the UFC so he could fight in his hometown.

One minute it looks like BKFC pays a ton, the next it looks so bad that Jeremy is coming back to the UFC to fight for peanuts and Rebook coupons despite being on a great tear in BKFC.

The UFC chose not to renew his contract, its not like he left on purpose. He lost 5 in a row (with a bunch of bad stoppage losses) and they didn't offer him another deal, so he went to PFL.

Flopped in PFL going 1-2, then washes up on the shore of bare knuckle.

Now he's nearly 40, has 50+ fights and has won a single of his last 9 MMA bouts. Its nice that the UFC are letting him have a hometown fight on a fight night card, but he doesn't offer much value to any promoter.

Yea this is basically the UFC throwing him a bone at the end of his career by letting him retire in his hometown

I’m guessing this is his hometown retirement from mma fight, unless of course he wins then he will obviously keep going lol

we'll have to see if its one fight or a long term deal

Well if he wins by vicious first round ko and wants another fight after then of course the ufc would likely extend his contract

Cool move definitely. I love seeing veterans make a comeback. He still has some steam too from BKB

I would honestly be cool if it was a one off. Like when Rampage fought Hamill. I think he can beat Jones in his hometown. But maybe he shouldn't keep trying to climb the ladder. Why knows what they want

Both were " departed" years ago.
I didn't expect that.Especially the return of Stephens.
What happened to coming back at the age of 38?
But it will be Lightweight.

Oh.Fuck.
I even used search before i posted this.
Too bad that its not possible to sort search results by posting time, but only by relevance.
And there were 10 pages of it.
