I'm not going to hold my nose and read this whole thread, but has it actually been confirmed whether or not there is footage of Epstein's cell?
I googled, but so far the only answer I can find (discounting shitty CT sources which claim there were camera's but they malfunctioned) is, "maybe".

Sure, he should have been very closely monitored. And maybe he was. But that doesn't make it impossible. Outside of chemical/physical restraint, dedicated people can and do find ways to pull the plug.

Okay, sure. However, do you not weigh the odds here? First off, the guy has already been through this scare. Didn't kill himself then. Now he's going through it again, and all of a sudden he feels it's time? Even if he did, what are the odds that he had the chance to do it? There are gangbangers looking at LWOP, who would love nothing more, than for the guards to look the other way for a bit, and it never happens. But this billionaire phile, with connections that would make anyone's head spin, is just allowed to do this?

Epstein living or dying almost doesn't matter. Who gives a shit what a says when facing serious jail time.

My understanding is that not all the cells have camera's recording the occupants, and only the corridor.
Supposedly he'd recently been moved out of suicide watch back to the Special Housing Unit (solitary).
According to the reports they typically don't keep them on suicide watch for extended periods in order to save on costs (which is bound to be the end of someone's job, hence the investigation). Apparently taking them off suicide watch requires the psych. and warden to sign off, and possibly higher ups in high profile cases like this.
I can't find a definitive answer on whether the SHUs are under surveillance (or Epstein's in particular).
