Javier Mendez : Khabibs next opponent should be Ferguson, not McGregor, who just had 1 'pit stop'

He doesnt want the small guy with no ground game (and lost 3 of his last 4 fights)
he want the taller guy with high lvl groundgame..... that pussy khabib :(
Your argument falls apart when you have to create false realities

As years pass the record books will show Conor as the legitimate champion for this timeframe regardless what our emotions tell us
How many title defenses will be recorded in that time?

Two guys fighting for a fake belt pretending it's real, lol.

I'm surprised Khabib is scared to fight Conor. He's way bigger and I'm sure he could use the money. He's from the poor part of Russia. There are Liberians with a better quality of life.

A lot of people and fighters don’t see Conor as the real champion. Tony is the man at LW and a win over him means a lot. Conor is not committing to anything anytime soon. As we know it is a waste of time to try and pick a fight with him. Beating Conor would only mean you can beat a guy that has had one fight at LW.
Of course other fighters don't like Conor. He's spent his whole UFC career mocking them and reminding them that they're not worth anything. He's done the same to the Tap Out wearing fans that hate on him here.

I never said they didn’t like him just that there are many that think Tony is the man. He has done and proven much more at LW than Conor has.

Or we can take Dana version that the fight is under negotiations but yet his team wants none of that
You mean like the contract that Khabib signed to fight for the title, only to be used as bait so Conor caves in.

Kinda understand why they won't believe anything unless it's concrete. Which is why they are pulling for the Alvarez fight again just in case Conor comes back and fights Tony.

I would like to believe that it is bs
But seems thats Khabib's team is outright avoiding Conor for whatever weird reason , looks bad
You are so full of shit. There is no concentrated avoidance of red panties

are you arguing with the trainer? You know the guy who said his man wont fight Conor?

He signed a contract you say? anyone see it ?

I like the Khabib strategy of ignoring the big money fight with the chicken it's great. He's portraying Conor as not even being in the discussion on the level he or Tony is at. He is aware of the company wanting to knock off contenders more than anybody on here.

I think this is sort of a sigh of relief for McGregor but at the same time it's the biggest knock you can give him. It's the perfect anecdote to McGregor. Just ignore the hoopla. Tony and Khabib should just focus on eachother and if Conor chimes in at a distance from twitter, just respond with who the fuck is this guy?

Bingo. They realize Conor is going to do whatever he wants, and fighting either or both of them is not on his wishlist, whether they beg him or not. Time to move on, and stop giving him attention. The only thing Conor fears more than fighting both Tony and Khabib is falling out of the spotlight and becoming irrelevant. That's why he's constantly bringing attention to himself, fighting at the bar, jumping in a Bellator cage, tooting his own horn about undercover top secret charity work, taunting Floyd to fight him in the UFC, instructional BJJ vids, blah blah blah.

All that noise was funny and easily tolerated when he was one of the most active fighters on the roster. Nobody wants to hear it when you're a fighter who won't take a fight. With no timeline as to when you will take a fight. Calling yourself the champ, and telling contenders who have earned the right to fight for the belt to beg you. gmafb

do you know?
Only the current tally, yes. Can make a rough estimate about the final outcome.

People will remember the context because it's too big of a part of the story.

Yep, and the longer he goes without signing to fight, the more relevance he continues to lose.

people will remeber the outcome , the story isnt really big. check espn any mainstream media. this will be like people talking about pride days.. NICHE talk

It's a God damn shame what is happening to the LW division clogged at the top of the by a non defending diva champ who has -0 credibility in the division but is holding out for a mega contract knowing full well he does not have what it takes to hold a belt. Khabib & Tony should be fighting, but they should be fighting for the real belt. I find Khabib vs Ferguson far more intriguing than Conor vs any of those men.

Conor is better as a contender than champ, he needz to go back to contending & pretending he doesn't have what it takes to be a real champ...

I agree, but I also think it's costing him fans, which was a huge psychological advantage over his opponents. Before his opponents were usually the butt of jokes and never had the crowd behind them. I don't think that hurt the opposition as much as it helped fuel him to victory. At this point, I think he's going to find that some of that crowd support isn't there anymore. If he comes back soon he could be the heel and still sell well, but the longer he waits the more he hurts his own ability to sell. JMO
