UFC seems a mess...

Still, the whole “mods don’t need to run decisions by posters” line kinda proves my point. There’s a weird wall between mods and members here, and it honestly feels more dismissive than necessary. I'm not saying mods have to justify every action like a court trial, but if threads keep getting moved without warning or context—especially when they don’t clearly break any guideline—it makes it feel like there’s no conversation happening, just actions without apparent reasons.

The wall isn't weird, but it is a wall. Are you aware of every ticket that every police officer issues in your area every day? Of course not. But if you are issued a ticket, then you're free to inquire, and here, that's the function of the Support forum.

Pointing me to a buried thread in the Support section is fine, but it kinda reinforces the “ghost mod” vibe I was talking about. If communication’s really open, it wouldn’t be this hard to get a simple answer on the spot.

It's not a "buried" thread, it's literally Stickied, it's the fourth iteration, and it has hundreds of posts and thousands of views. You not knowing about it doesn't mean that it was "buried." Please post in there to your heart's content and you will get mod and admin responses to whatever you'd like to discuss.

The analogy, comparing forum moderation to law enforcement kinda proves my point again—there's a power dynamic here that feels unnecessary for an online discussion space. Mods aren’t police, and posters aren’t criminals. This isn’t about being “aware of every ticket issued,” it’s about wondering why my thread keeps getting moved without any heads-up or comment. That’s not a huge thing to expect—it’s basic transparency.

As for the support section, sure, I’ve seen it now. But the fact that it's "stickied" doesn’t change the reality that most people aren’t going to check a "megathread" buried in a separate section just to understand why something they posted was moved. Would a quick reply or note in the moved thread really be that hard? Especially when threads are being relocated to less serious sections, which, again, just happened to mine right after this conversation started.

When posters take time to make threads with good intentions, it shouldn’t feel like they’re being quietly brushed aside. If the goal is to keep the forum organized, great—but some basic communication could go a long way in not making this feel like a top-down echo chamber, perhaps.
