Media Jan says he’s going to stand with Alex

Jan stood with Izzy for the majority of their fight and even won rounds there. I feel like people are underestimating what he can do on the feet.

Jan said the same thing about Izzy

he did stand for a bit .. but then we know what happened <Lmaoo>
You call 3 full rounds a bit? I bet that sounded WAY funnier in your head than it does to anybody reading it that actually saw the fight.

FAIL.

People underestimate Jan's striking. Pereira is just a really bad match up for Izzy because Izzy doesn't have the power to threaten him in most situations so Alex can just walk him down. The favourable matchup against Izzy fools people into thinking he is better than he is. Don't be surprised if Jan outstrikes him or knocks him out. Strickland was outstriking him before he was caught.

Jan has 9 kos in 40 fights.
1 of those is from a leg injury and Rockhold and Reyes who have been kod by everyone.
He’s not a devastating ko artist at all.

I don't even understand the response to Jan saying that he'll stand with Pereira. It's like people didn't watch the Izzy fight.

Jan outstruck Izzy before the takedowns.

His leg kicking and kick defense game is one of the best in the sport, and he has insane power.

I think that he's going to do fine against Pereira.

Izzy struggled with Jan's reach and size, Pereira won't.

LOL, have you actually seen Jan strike?? There is a very good chance that Jan knocks Perreira out. Perreira is not this mythical god of striking that he's made to be. He's got holes in his game like everyone.

I will hold you to that. Just wait and watch.

LOL, there is nothing to hold me to. All I am saying is that Jan is more than capable of standing with Perreira and doing well and has a good chance to KO him considering his accuracy and power and how Perreira leaves openings. Just like Perreira has a very good shot to beat Jan in the standup and KO him. I don't really see either guy having a big advantage here.

calm down literal police

he said he was going to stand and bang with him is the point and he ended up wrestling

so you can take what he says with a grain of salt

cuz when you start losing or things get close the game changes

you must be like 50 or older

we dont say Fail anymore

we say Cap <Lmaoo>

People always say they're going to stand with world class strikers then shoot for a takedown in the first 10 seconds once they get into the cage.
Seems like a third of the time they really do and than they KO the striker.

I am saying, he won't stand with Alex. You and I seem to disagree since you think his stand up skills are quite evenly matched with Alex and that he has a good chance of KO'ing Alex. I don't. I think Alex will dominate, if they try to strike. He might strike for a bit, but will shoot for a takedown the first opening he sees. The reach, size, strength and power difference will be apparent, if the fight ends up being a striking match.

That is the point I am saying we will have to wait and see which one becomes true.

I guess we'll have to wait and see! Let the power shots fly! But I have a feeling one guy will be able to take it better than the other, the guy with the chin.
