Media Jamie Varner not a fan of Laura Sanko's commentary

I find her to be knowledgeable and intelligent in her commentary. Being a fighter is one thing and being a good commentator another. Have you heard Wanderlei analyze fights? He's a monkey.

Sanko is better than Goldberg and does decent, I just notice she doesn't really bring much to the table and is pretty generic. Also she repeats her cohost's opinion often. I honestly never care about commentary like people on this forum though. I just don't see her as a spectacular commentator besides being the 1st female.

Who the fuck is "Jamie Varner"?

Anyways Sanko is a better commentator than Rogan and Cruz and probably DC as well

Kathy Long (UFC 1) would like to have a word.

he's wrong to call her out like that. Rogan hasn't even fought in a legitimate fight besides knocking cab drivers out in high school gyms back in the 80s where you're only allowed to kick.

i don't even know what he's talking about when he says a woman fighter should have that spot. like who? half the women fighters can barely even speak English and the ones who can are weirdos.

He's a former WEC and UFC fighter who is best known for being the first person to beat Edson Barboza, who had a lot of hype at the time. Barboza was 10-0 and coming off the wheel kick KO of Terry Etim.

TLDR: Jamie Varner did OK in the UFC

Another point that need to be made is varner is a literally nobody. Unless he's posting weird shit like this for attention you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who's bring him up in ANY MMA discussion. People still talk about Joe desiel Riggs for fucks sake. Jamie varner was more famous in regionals than he ever was on the big stage.

annoying? Keeps saying things that she sounds uninformed about?

Meets the requirements of ufc play by play teams I don’t know Jamie’s problem is but that’s exactly the types that have been calling forever

Also bonus points for eye candy

I have nothing against Laura Sanko, I don't care about what her MMA career was, and being a woman changes nothing about my opinion on a commentator. As a motor racing sports fan as well, Naomi Schiff is one of my favs ( F1 ) and I also mostly enjoy Danica Patrick on the mic.

With that said, I dunno if that expression exists in english, but 1) she is a can of paint ( too much make up ), 2) I think her commentary is pretty bland and adds nothing of value 90% of the time, and 3) I agree with some that she's a bit of a tryhard. But overall, I think she fits the needs of the US audience, and in the end its what matter for the company. Also, good for her, it's a nice job.

Bonus question, does that makes me an incel ? ( yes, I find it ridiculous that if you criticize a woman, you are automatically encouraging toxic masculity or some bs like this, double standard ect ect )

Jimmy said a different story, and no disrespect but I'd believe him over what the UFC said lol.

Yeah also heard jimmy tell a short version, and didn't know the ufc commented on it.
So not sure what that whole believing-sides thing is about.
Bisping was certainly not shilling for the ufc in the moment, in fact, the opposite. This was in person.
Apparently it was as simple as not having a position for Jimmy. That's it.

Look, first of all, I do not respect just anyone who “steps in there” due to fact that I know what it takes to “step in there”

I’ve cornered and participated in so many shit-show events throughout the entire midwest from 2000-2010 that I simply cannot respect someone who simply “got in there” LoL

You know how many jobbers fight and fought w/o any prior training whatsoever in mma? Its ridiculously high. Jobbers smoking a cig with hand-wraps on and shit. Ive seen dudes basically step out of the crowd and take a fights

Fine, but Sanko didn't step out of the crowd.
She fought as an amateur, and a pro. She also still trains.

This is a far cry from jobbers smoking cigs, stepping out of the crowd.
Completely understand what you are describing, but some of us have better standards for comparison.

Not a fan of this broad, truly indifferent honestly, but come on...
she isn't John Morgan or Brendan FItzgerald.

She fought more MMA than Joe Rogan.
