Henry Cavill reportedly received $250,000 salary for his Black Adam cameo and another $250,000 for a cameo at the end of The Flash. The Flash cameo scene implied that Flash rescues Superman from being stuck in the Speed Force for many years, explaining his absence from the DCEU since Justice League.

Cavill looked great as Supes, probably one of the few things Snyder did right so it's sad to see him leave. But the DCEU has been a hot mess and they've tried to salvage it and failed so a clean reboot is unfortunately the only solution.

Then again those Snyder cultist have been fuckin' annoying so I'm happy to see whatever sliver of hope they have for a restored Snyderverse thrown out the window and I'm really enjoying their meltdown lol.

According to the horde of angrys on twitter this has nothing to do with the Snyder stuff. I'd say 97% of people slamming James Gunn aren't even mentioning it.

Well Shazam is a better Character and his 1st movie was underrated. Rock's head will explode if Shazam Sequel makes more of a profit.


Hell, the 1st Shazam Grossed $366 Mil compared to $389 Mil. However Shazam cost $100 Mil vs Black Adams $190 Mil not counting that Black Adam’s Marketing was much more costly.

Honestly best thing DC can do is scrap everything n just start over. Gunn is a proven hit maker in the genre . Keep Pattison as Batman but change everyone else n all other stories. Should only be mildly known actors as well.

Of DCEU. only WW, MOS, Aquaman were even watchable. The new Batman was decent as well.

Strikes me as odd that the release the Snyder cut crew is so angry about these decisions. It’s not like the DCEU was some phenomenal foundation on which to build. A lot of us liked Cavill’s involvement, Affleck’s involvement, Gadot’s work, Momoa, etc but the movies were pretty hit or miss. I, even as one of those individuals who outright enjoyed Batman vs. Superman and Justice League, have no issue with things going a different direction.

I see it as a weird scenario where a lot of the people who are so angry about these scrapped plans were just a bit ago deriding how underwhelming some of the previous films were.

Honesty, seems like most are bummed about the cancellation of the Batman Beyond movie with Keaton playing an older Bruce Wayne. Even those that didn’t know that film was being planned. I feel like DC is making a major mistake here.

Batman Beyond was one of the best shows when I was a kid, I would've loved to see that version of Batman on the big screen. Micheal Keaton being the older Bruce Wayne teaching Terry McGinnis is such a great idea.

I wasn't bummed out about them cancelling all the other projects tbh, but this one seems like it could've been a very solid flick if executed well.

A well-placed source says Gunn and Safran are exploring the possibility of incorporating filmmaker Matt Reeves’ iteration of Batman with actor Robert Pattinson into their wider universe.

That's one of the few things that I found solid in the current DC movie universe.
Sucks for the other actors, directors, writers and everyone that were involved that got their projects cancelled. More specifically Cavil since he was asked to come back and while I wasn't a huge fan of MOS, Cavil himself is a great choice for Superman.

Hopefully this reboot works out for them, I'd really like to see all these characters done well and maybe get a proper build up towards a JL movie.
The whole thing is wide open right now with Marvel being in its post-endgame phase.

That's the good thing about Batman Beyond movie. They may have scrapped it for now but it can be revived in the future when the DC slate is more clear and cohesive.
