Since this makes Jones look like a duck and I hate divisions being held up, Absolutely. But you must strip Jones. Go back to 205 or reitre, Guy has one win in the division that means anything. And that one, hasn't aged well. Don't tell me Stipe had a ton left in the tank, That fight should have been Tom all along anyway. Dana needs to step up and strip him and never look back.

I don't know why they have been letting Jon have his way. It's hard to see any prospective super-match involving Jon that would make them a ton of money.

If some fuckery happens and Aspinall has to wait another year to see Jones fight someone else, he should smack the shit out of Dana on live TV.

I 100% believe thats what he should do, dispatch contenders one after the other until the UFC decides if they want to pay "fuck you money" to Jones or promote Aspinall to Undisputed.

It would be a one of a kind record, yes, interim title defenses are usually not counted when (if) the interim champion happens to win the undisputed title, but at the same time they rarely defend it, Aspinall would have a very interesting case if he continues to beat contenders while the UFC refuses to strip or to make the fight with Jones, as of right now Jones has bought himself a lot of time, specially since Aspinall has been inactive for longer, he should be aiming to fight soon, very soon and fight again after that one, they fight for money, interim titles come with "championship pay" too.
