It's not just who you beat, it's how. Shavkat has a 100% finishing rate and JDM has looked very unimpressive in many of his fights. You can argue he lost to Basil Hafez, who's a journeyman.

You can't go on merit alone, you have to actually watch the fighters and determine in your head who is the best. Honestly while Belal deserves it, I don't think a 36 year old WW who has to grind to squeak out wins is a better fighter than JDM or Shavkat. The problem with the UFC is fighters in the background won't sign or show up for fights with the toughest guys, so their resume looks thin.

My point went way over your head. I'm saying that JDM's body of work is not nearly as impressive as Shavkat's when you actually watch his fights. He struggled and arguably lost to Basil Hafez, I've never seen Islam or Shavkat struggle with that level of competition, they passed the eye test with flying colors consistently. JDM hasn't.
