Their career is quite similar

Comes in as the golden child from a diff base. Becomes champ relatively quickly and quickly enters premature goat talks. (Ronda > Cyborg, Izzy >Andy)

Have about the same amount of title defenses and is seen as one of UFCs biggest stars

Both have their national TV meltdown moment then their reign ends shortly after both to a historical level underdog.

Both take hiatus for mental health.

If Izzy comes back and gets smacked around (prob by 205 Poatan) like Ronda did against Amanda id have to think he retires afterwards.

Holy crap I never put this comparison together but it's actually pretty accurate.

Atleast Ronda doesn't jerk her dog off.

Edit: Sherdog surprisingly was pretty big on Holly to beat Ronda, or atleast you saw a lot of that sentiment around. Nobody here was convinced Sean was gonna beat Izzy, there was a few who figured he'd give a tougher fight than everyone thinks but that's about it.

Ronda's stardom was on a much higher level, and unprecedented for a woman in combat sports. She had alot farther to fall,so to speak.

Izzy had lost and been stopped before Strickland. He'll be back.

We all saw a path for Holly to win,but I still feel most just expected her to get dumped on her head and armbarred.

I was one of the ones that thought Holly would win too, but from Vegas odds for a title fight it was def one of the biggest upsets

And she does, his name is Travis Browne

Wrong.

Ronda is Once Ever... UFC / WWE Champion and should have an Oscar

Izzy isn't even the best in his division (Anderson)

JK. :)

Virtually Indentical

It's a stretch. Izzy is actually much more talented and not a one-trick pony like Rhonda was. And, he actually lost multiple times before taking a break. He lost to Jan and Pereira, but was mentally strong enough to bounce back and regain the belt in the rematch with Pereira. It wasn't until his 3rd loss against Strickland that he melted down. Rhonda couldn't handle a single loss.

Izzy is far better than that turd Ronda

But who is the more man?

Im not done talking. Little Boy.

Or "young man" in rampageses words "young man" lol

So Jones Bones is a young man for sure, but DC Cormier is "grown" who is the more man? I cant ever say yea that guy ya know, ON TOP you got Rhonda, glad cupcake take got the belt,

"It aint about being a hero, its about saving the life no matter what"

Let that sink in...

Eh. I tend to rib Izzy and his fanboys a bit. But this seems off. Izzy came back and won his belt back against his boogey man, after a long reign against real competition. The guys nearly 35, and had over 100 professional combat sports fights. I really don't think it's that crazy he's starting to run out of drive and devotion to staying at his peak. Especially after 2-3 tough fights in a row. Rousey crumpled at the very first major adversity, after a fairly short career.

He kind of is a one trick pony. He throws low kicks from the outside and wait for counters when they get close, if they don't, then he wins a boring UD. If they get close, he can knock them out but always with the same combinations. Once Strickland nullified the kicks, his lack of boxing was exposed. He has a variety of kicks on the feet because that is his "one trick", Ronda had a variety of Judo throws that Izzy doesn't have (she didn't just stumble into those armbars). Izzy has no takedowns, he has no BJJ, his boxing sucks, he can't clinch people against the cage. Once Strickland figure him out on the feet he couldn't adjust or do anything at all. He is a one trick pony just like her.

You are right about Ronda only needing one loss to meltdown, but they both meltdown in the end and they both are a one trick pony.

Adesanya has wins over Whittaker x2, Alex Pereira, Jared Cannonier, Paulo Costa, Anderson Silva. He also came back and avenged his loss and won the title again after losing it. Now at 34 years old he's maybe on the decline and needs a break.

Rousey has wins over Miesha Tate x2, Cat Zingano, Liz Carmouche, and Bethe Coreia. She lost once in her prime at 28 and she was done. Rousey was great and what she did was very special at the time, but there's not really much of a comparison here.

Not unless you count Travis

Izzy lost and then came back and won.

Ronda lost and never recovered and left the sport and then tried to come back years later and didn't even last a full minute before losing violently

What exactly is similar there?

TS, please stop being stupid. For your own sake.

Pretty sure TS is talking about current Izzy.

Izzy lost and quit the sport, just like Ronda. He refuses to give interviews about it, and generally acts surly and gotten to. It's not a difficult comparison.
