Enjoying baby bro?Lmaooooo

So he’d be buakaw? Saenchai? If Lee was around today he'd probably do as well as any other modern East Asian fighter.
The irony is that Bruce's fight scenes incorporated a lot more kicks. When you think of Bruce Lee you think of kicks, something that isn't taught in Wing Chun.On the flip side of this argument, I went to a Wing Chun school that my Godson was attending and a discussion of MMA came up. The instruction was all about saying that the fights take too long. A real Wing Chun or Kung Fu fighter in the cage would end a fight in seconds not minutes and that you only need to know Kung Fu to fight.
Meanwhile he also had posters on the wall of Bruce Lee whom this school obviously idolized. I pointed and said that that's basically the anathema to what Bruce Lee taught. He incorporated many different techniques from different martial arts and fighting styles to create Jeet Kune Do.
His was response was "Yeah, but his main style is Wing Chun and that's all you need."
Well done on the legendary rustle thread. Got a lot of people mad but I agree with your sentiment that it’s absolutely outrageous to compare an actor who doesn’t have a single fight to real fighters. However, Bruce Lee has done a lot for martial arts so I have no problem with people looking up to him, even ufc fighters. But if they compare a real fighter to Bruce , that’s a joke.
You’re a shit person to be crapping on a guy who died well before MMA became a thing.
Because no one bothers doing that unless their trying to be a DICK.If I said Jackie Chan isn’t an elite fighter and shouldn’t be considered as such, would it be valid just now, but considered taboo when he passed away?
Because no one bothers doing that unless their trying to be a DICK.
No one was doing that.dude you can’t be serious with that statement
No one’s trying to be a dick we all respect Bruce Lee, but to compare him to other fighters is disingenuous
Who says I’m gayWhy are you ghey
Fraud Lee is the only martial artist in the world that became a god by never fighting at all. That takes talent.
hes the finest example of how the media can make people want to believe something and even defend it to the point of getting angry if ever questioned.
we all know that Chinese martial arts are straight up cults. They literally think their "master" is supreme over all.
This is the same way with Lee's fans. In their limited imagination, Lee is a god special among others.
they even think he has a chance against actual pro fighters. Some even said that he could beat Francis or Usman or even Buakaw which is fucking stupid.
They're letting nostalgia and their fantasy get in the way of logical thinking. The same people who mention wwe is fake all the time, and they would get beaten badly in UFC are now saying a man who was an actor first, just like wwe, could've beaten the whole roster. What kind of logic is that? Lol
i think its disrespectful for mma fighter or even boxers to be compared with actor Lee
whos never been cut or broke a bone in his life.
the mans primary profession was acting. He wasn't some super secret badass who could destroy pro fighters, but just preferred movies. As stated by Chuck Norris, a legitimate kickboxing competitor and close friend of Lee's, stated that while Lee was good, he was not a professional fighter.
Because no one bothers doing that unless their trying to be a DICK.
Who is on here suggesting that? These Bruce Lee threads come out of the blue with attacking a premise that isn't here.No one bothers doing that because nobody bothers trying to pass Chan off as some sort of elite fighter. People respect him as an actor, and a person, without having to convince themselves he could’ve knocked out Muhammad Ali or whatever else.
If people were on here telling everyone that Chan was an elite fighter, then I can assure you there would be a lot of people quite rightly telling them they’re delusional, in the same way anyone suggesting Bruce Lee was, is.
