IT Movie (First Critics Reactions Online)

There are tons of movies that have gotten 100% or near that on RT.

Very possible IT's score will drop some, but not into the gutter (or sewer?) like you're implying.
Ask yourself

Is this movie likely a 100 percent movie?

If your gut says no...then you need to ask yourself, "well than why is it a 100 percent movie right now"...and then you realize that the likely hood that by some miracle, rt is only showing positive critics right now is bullshit then it's likely shilling.

And if it's been paid to shill than that's likely because the movie wasn't good enough to stand on its own.

It's a fucking remake for Christ sakes. Not saying it can't score high but don't give me the ole perfect reviews for the opening week of the release miracle bullshit

And this is why I go by IMDB. It's currently at 8.6

^ someone who doesn't understand aggregate score vs percent thumbs up.

IMDRs IT score is based off thousands of user reviews. Seems like a lot of reviews for a movie that hasn't been released yet.

Annabelle 2 currently has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...es-reviews-release-date-trailer-a7824911.html

or 68 percent...

https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/annabelle_creation/

So by some miracle, all the first few critics LOVED the movie! Headlines! momentum! money!

...and then it scores a 68 after the first week!

here...RLM talks about it this weird shit. (Go to the 10 minute mark roughly)

So I'm going to safely wipe my ass with Rotten Tomatoes propaganda and I'll wait until after a few weeks and the real reviews come in.

Are you really that invested in this?

I'm more invested in debating with any idiot that doesn't think that RT could easily be gamed to help drive revenue on fringe movies.

Like IT.

I've been covering movies in here for a while now, so for what it's worth, I think the IT movie is legit and the Rotten Tomatoes score will settle around the mid 90s, or at worst, around high 80s.

I've been following along pretty closely with this one and everyone involved or who has pre-screened it has nothing but good things to say. I'm very optimistic.

Remains to be seen but that doesn't discount that their is some fuckery going on over at RT.

We will see where IT lands, but I will not praise it based off of anything coming from RT.

As a matter of fact, it having 100 percent looks rather suspect. We've seen that dance before.

8.6 on IMDb is quite good, 8.6 on IMDb = 95-100% on RT so I'm looking for to this very much at this point.

8.6 on IMDB is amazing, for a Horror movie, that's GOAT-tier

I recently discovered RLM. Freaking GOAT!

God Bless Rich Evans!

Idk. I'm in my mid-30's, in my experience CotC has always been shown some love. It kinda falls flat at the end, but up until the climax it's pretty terrifying, and was especially when I was a child. Even that scenario today kinda gives me chills.
I watched that movie on betamax lmao. It scared the junk outta me when I was little. Watched it a couple weeks ago on Netflix and it still holds up.

I dont trust the review scores but this is a remake of a horrible, awful, boring movie that was made for tv!
anything will be better.

Is IT just going to be 1 movie?

If so that seems like such a waste.

Either way it looks good and I'm excited.

Dark Tower bombed horribly.
Of course it did, should have tried to get picked up by HBO, they could have had a Dark Tower TV show with movie like production like GOT or Westworld and could have really given us what that series a deserved.

Welcome back.

I revisited Children of the Corn earlier. Loved the beginning, the middle always dragged on me, namely because there arent any kills. Then the ending...look, the ending is what always fucked with me. Only because of whatever the FUCK was in the dirt. Revisiting it, i noticed there is HARDLY any of it. Plus, when Isaac is 'turned' i was hopinh there was more. I guess thats all you need as a child, just a scary scene, and youll always think its scary. (insert IT here)

I looked up their sequels and remembered ive seen them. But as a child, i am more forgiving. Still, their trailers and scores did not invite me back.

That said, how about a remake? This is exactly the type you dont remake tho as there is NO technology. Still, id welcome it if they made it very dark. How toud replacr that Malachai, i dont know. Maybe the kid from Detroit?

Still, this movie, and a lot of movies from thar time, have this rough, crusty look to it. It adds to its aura many, many times, which is a remake is usually turned polished. Lord of the Flies has this look, but that too is a remake.

and that remake is being remade..

They did remake Children of the Corn some years back. It had a Rhianna clone as the lead.
