That was ALWAYS going to be terrible.

The text is almost unfilmable, the best we could have hoped for would have been an imaginative adaptation, which was never going to happen on a blockbuster budget.
 
I remember when I was 7 years old is rode my bike down to the video rental store and rented IT the original one. I didn't think much of it and watched the entire movie by myself in my room. I was fucked up for a good 3 months trying to go to sleep lmao. That was the only movie that scared me as a little kid.
 
Had a good feeling about this film when I saw the preview, looked scary as hell. Now I can't wait to see IT after seeing how well received the first reviews are...
 
I've never seen the Tim Curry version so I recently figured I may as well read the book. Definitely not what I was expecting at all but it sure had its creepy moments. A bit weird and overly morose at times.

I'm guessing since this story takes place in 89 that they will be doing the "27 years later" story line as well to fit in with 2017/ 16 modern times release of his movie

I'm excited, bring on the gore

It's planned for two films. The first chapter of the story when they were still kids has always been the strongest part of the book or the mini series. So I'm not surprised that this movie is going to do very well. The challenge now is to come up with a good sequel revolving the adults. At least they promised there won't be a giant spider.

Glad to read this one is working out -I was a skeptic- but I'm glad to be wrong. My chick loves horror flicks so this looks like a good excuse to hit up the theater as it's been a minute.
 
Good lord I can't wait. This comes out while I'm on my work leave too, A midnight show is on the cards if I can get a babysitter.
