People that have seen this, is it worth the hype? I was supposed to watch this tonight but my girlfriend takes for goddamn ever to do anything and we missed out on every show because the tickets sold out for the weekend.

I'd rather lick diarrhea off the floor of a truckstop bathroom than watch this hunk of shit again. Holy crap what a shitty movie.

I can't get past Pennywise looking like some clichéd juggalo "evil clown", what this ignores is that effective "clown horror" should be build on a character trying to appear friendly and having an darker side.

Fair enough, but what about voice? At what fucking point does Curry sound innocent?

is that why there's the running joke throughout the movie how Professor X writes great books but has shitty endings?
ha! I'm don't remember that being in the book, but that is very funny if it was a dig at the book.

I dunno. Had some funny moments but overall was kind of a shit film. Gave it a 4

I liked it. Actors did their thing and the story flowed well enough. I didn't realize just how long it was till it ended and I was a bit surprised.

For people saying ....oh it's not scary enough, kids get killed viciously, you motherfuckers are just desensitized.

Nothing is quite scary enough anymore.

It was a good film which had good acting and flowed well. It wasn't like 90% of the shit horror you see today. Was it the best....no, but what is these days?

That book was written in an era where child murders was a thing, so people of my generation could resonate with it better then say the new generation I suppose. An entity killing kids mortified me when I first read the novel when I was like 12.

Just got back from seeing it - 5/10. They sure now how to kill any tension in this movie with the shitty jokes.

Help her get ready quicker by providing a few uppercuts to her chin for motivation.

first 80% was great then falls off towards the end and a bit too long. Skarsgard and Hader are fucking incredible though.

Am I the only one who didn't see the "secret" of Richie being "in love" with Eddie to be a big deal? Looking at articles online/YouTube reviews of the film, some people are acting like this is a world altering thing? Even to the point of suggesting that Richie and this "secret" should have been the main secondary arc of the movie. /SPOILER]

Nothing is quite scary enough anymore.

Most new movies don't spend the time to build the suspense like they used to. There's a rush to cram stuff because its assumed people don't have attention spans anymore. It's why movies like Get Out and Hereditary that actually take their time were such a breath of fresh air. Even a lot of the bad like Halloween and Friday the 13th sequels of the 80's did a better job building suspense than horror movies of today. IMO.

I didn’t care about a single thing that happened. 6/10

So i should wait till its on netflix then?
If you are a fan of the content I'd check it out. For a casual viewer I wouldn't feel rushed to see it, it's very story heavy. I grew up in a house of King books and movies so I checked it out and it was pretty good. Just about 20-30 minutes too long.

I saw it in IMAX, made the jump scares really fun. I liked it better than chapter 1 and thought it was really good overall.

IT: CHAPTER TWO Terrifies with $91 Million U.S. Debut, $185 Million Globally

Pennywise once again delivered at the box office. New Line's R-rated It: Chapter Two opened to $91 million domestically in a needed win for the film industry after a brutal August. And while the sequel didn't match the record-shattering launch of the first film, it's still the second-best horror bow of all time and the second-biggest for the month of September behind It, as well as the top bow for an R-rated pic so far this year, not adjusted for inflation.

Overseas, the R-rated pic scared up $94 million from 75 markets for $185 million globally. The only horror pic to start off with more was It.

The follow-up's performance is a boost for New Line and parent studio Warner Bros. following a tough summer, capped by the box office bombs The Kitchen and Blinded by the Light. The weekend was also a good one for the studio on other fronts, as Warners' edgy superhero pic The Joker took home top spoils at the Venice International Film Festival on Saturday.

Internationally, It: Chapter Two performed on par with the 2017 title overall, while beating it in 16 markets, including Russia ($8.8 million). Mexico led with $10.2 million, followed by the U.K. ($9.4 million).

Domestically, the film came in 25 percent behind the $123.4 million earned by It over the same weekend in 2017.

Several factors could have contributed to the difference. The sequel currently has a 67 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to 86 percent for the original. Audiences were more forgiving in bestowing the pic with a B+ CinemaScore, the same grade that It received, although exit scores on PostTrak were lower.

Another difference: The sequel runs two hours and 49 minutes — 35 minutes longer than the first movie. New Line helped make up for the lengthy running time by booking the film in 4,570 theaters, the widest release ever for the month of September.

More than 20 percent of domestic grosses came from Imax and large-format screens. Globally, Imax turned in a total of $9 million.

Andy Muschietti returned to direct the conclusion of his adaptation of Stephen King's classic novel. The follow-up — which stars Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Isaiah Mustafa and Bill Hader — features the adult incarnations of the kids who battled the creepy clown Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard) 27 years earlier.

It: Chapter Two, which cost roughly $90 million to produce before marketing, had the weekend to itself in terms of being the only new studio film.
