If he commits US troops to this conflict, I'm officially off the Trump train.
Not sure who's left to throw in with at that point. Certainly no other mainstream American or Canadian politicians even pretend to give a shit about what people like me think or want.
I think what Trump ultimately tapped in to was the fact that, for straight white men, there really was no one else even PRENTENDING to give a shit about us. The other side were openly saying they hated us.
That was the appeal, tbh. As white guys, we see the kind of pandering the Dems and libs do to minorities and think 'man if I was black/native/whatever' I'd actually be offended by that.
But what I realized with Trump was it's nice to have someone at least give enough of a shit to pretend to care. I guess that's why the Dems appeal to black people, for example: If the choice is someone pretending to give a shit about you or someone who's openly hostile to you, it's not really much of a choice.
