Izzy Imavov was floated for Saudi, but I wasn't sure at first since the Aussie card was just around the corner. Now that Strickland DDP 2 is confirmed, and the reason they are fighting in Australia is that there isn't a matchup for Izzy at MW that's PPV worthy. They aren't entirely out of the Izzy business, but they're definitely done catering to him, he's on a similar path as later UFC career Anderson.

Was hoping to see Izzy vs Caio but I'll take this stacked free card without complaints.

don't get me wrong I agree...no one wants to see Izzy vs Cannonier again but in context of the post I replied too I don't think they see Imavov as a gimmie for Izzy. Think you're right about them no longer catering to Izzy anymore. He's going to have to fight some of these younger dudes now. Hopefully we hear some fight news about Caio soon. Could see him getting Whittaker depending on how long he'll be out or maybe if he has to fight backward Fluffy Hernandez

I think Caio is getting the winner of Imavov Izzy to decide the next #1 after Khamzat, if he's capable of fighting for the belt. They already have Imavov Strickland 2 as a story.
Fluffy will probably get the loser of the fight I imagine? Or Costa?

I agree, Imavov is not a gimme fight by any means. He's big for the weight class, but has Mousasi syndrome where he seems to not give a shit half the time (don't attack me Moose Men) which leads to some boring fights. Izzy fights to the level of his opponents so this has potential to be a stinker that goes to a close decision, but if they let loose with their hands it could be a fun scrap. I guess it depends on if we get a low confidence passive Izzy or killer contender Izzy back, I'm leaning more towards passive.

According to Dana, the saudi's specifically asked him to bring Women fighters next time they do a card there. They're probably trying to change their global image with sports.

don't think so , Cannonier was a boring fight and why they need another boring rematch ?
imo they are trying to give Izzy another shot , otherwise they could book him against Khamzat.
guess Khamzat would accept that fight instead of waiting for so long to get a title shot
 
Turki is a big Adesanya fan they love him down there and been trying to get him to headline for awhile now. He is gonna make bank

Magomedov likes to stay at kicking range, with a high output there. Which Page will not give him.
Because he stays outside even more with some bursts inbetween.

I see Page outpointing Magomedov to a decision. Of course you got the highlight reel chance with Page.
It will be way better fight than Page vs Garry though.


UFC wants Nassourdine Abdoulazimovitch Imavov for the french market.
With his dagestan base, he could also always fight in Abu Dhabi

"French market is too wild for Nassour, half of the french fans dislike him for many reasons (crying at french tv, his mental weaknesses, cant pull he trigger etc)
