Isn't it kind of grimmy how the financial struggles of UFC fighters is put on display?

Like how in TUF Season 26, Dana had Justin and Eddie race for fucking 800 meters for 10g's.
I know it's a challenge that's part of a reality show but still, even making that a thing and having your LW champion swim for 10 grand sounds like some authoritarian shit.

... or how fighters beg on national TV or ppv for a bonus or say shit like "I can finally quit my part time job"

Idk, maybe I'm just overreacting but to me it's distasteful to have UFC fighters financial struggles be displayed constantly and it really makes the sport look bush league.

What do you think?

Fully agree with you here.

It's not just that the UFC doesn't pay their fighters nearly enough, they also seem to have no shame admitting it.

In response to the Dana White bootlickers about to come in here, let me get this straight folks:

i agree, it should be socialist and they all make the same living wage of 30K per year and any that disagree get sent to the gulag.

also, NBA and NFL should subsidize MMA and give a large percentage of their pay to bring up the UFC minimum wage.... why should lebron get so much money when ufc fighters dont, it is not fair!

Also, all CEO's should have to pay my bills because it is not fair that they are CEO's and I am not!

Also, bootlickers should get paid just as much as those with the boots, it's not fair!

Also, everyone should die at the same age, it's not fair that some people only live to 40 and die of cancer they didnt choose and some people live to 100 while drinking and smoking, you know... it's not fair!

Considering that you're equating wanting pro fighters to get payed more to this gibberish you just wrote, i just want to tell you from the bottom of my heart that i'm sorry for you being the way you are.
I don't necessarily put the blame on you though, it wasn't your fault being born in a country with an educational system that abysmal.

I didn't know either until i came on here, but i regularly see people praising and defending Dana - he treats his fighters like sh*t and is a greedy f*ck?
No big deal, the UFC is what it is because of him, thus it's perfectly fine for him to be like that.
If you criticize fighter pay, you're (apparently) automatically in favor of every human being on earth getting the exact same amount of money.

America has a serious problem with income inequality

but this country also has a problem with laymen worshipping the wealthy while finger wagging the poor

UFC Fighters are the former ^
Also, this country has a problem with people not taking responsibility for their actions 95% of income inequality boils down to people making bad decisions. If you know fighting doesn't pay well and you choose to become infighter that's own you, not on Dana, not on the UFC.

Andrew Yang is coming for dat azz.

RIP to Vince McMahon and Dana White's business models.

What makes Dana, a white supremacist?
Have I missed something or is just the usual BS.

I wonder if he knows about the man in the picture behind him famously giving a speech at a KKK meeting agreeing with them.

But how else is the audience supposed to know that Dana White is an alpha male if he can't financially dominate his fighters?

It's a power on Dana to establish himself as the alpha male. This allows him leverage in various aspects of dealing with fighters because he has power over them.

Aside from that, life is hard for all, we are way poorer than we like to admit. A millionaire has to live like a middle class person because life is more costly with inflation and more people and less jobs as well as automation.

Poor taste ? Coming from Dana ? Noooooooooo.

The guy thinks he's above fighters just cause he makes a lot of money. He's a slimy hype man as far as I'm concerned.

More equitable pay structures are often suggested in capitalistic endeavors. Gulags not required.
