Islam had more control time. He hurt him a few times too. Of course Volk probably landed the harder drops and he clearly had a Nate Diaz moment at the end

Was it a mistake for Volk to get on top, one minute left, last round, and he needed the finish? It might have been better to have kept it standing.

Good fight. A great challenge for Islam as predicted. Answered a lot of questions re Islam's durability and savvy in a match that is mostly kickboxing. Also proves Volk is probably the toughest dude to hold down.

Both showed and proved themselves to be champs.

And yes, Islam clearly won the fight.

Islam, but Volk really knows how to pander to the cameras (something Conor could do also) and he had the crowd behind him.

Yeah, even if Volk lands a minor strike they go nuts. Good that the judges didn't pay the crowd reactions no mind at least.

Volk won!! Stuffed most of his takedown and the ones he didn't got right back up. The other guy(who dana doesn't even care enough to remember his name) didn't do any damage the few times he had him on the ground or against the cage. Had his back with a triangle applied and Volk did more damage punchinghim lol

Would've been more then happy with a hometown robbery, Volk pushed the pace and the fight the whole night never gave up or slowed down. One more round and I think he finishes Islam

This. MMA fans are incapable of seeing landed strikes clearly. Volk spent most of the fight getting tagged and missing, but he had his moments. He only won round 5 however.

I had Islam winning 1,2 and 4.
