It should be a fun fight whilst it lasts. Gaethje will try to flatline him or crush his legs, Islam doesn't check leg kicks so the option is there at the risk of a takedown. You would have to lean Islam but Gaethje is very dangerous.

You gotta go back to the Khabib fight. Just hurt his legs and landed some very good punches in round 1 and 2. And you gotta question, how would Islam absorb those same strikes? You can almost bet Justin would follow a similar game plan.

I think Islam is better at avoiding head strikes than Khabib, but the leg kicks would land, like you said, he doesn't check kicks well. And Islam's chin is not as good as Khabibs.

I've always wondered what that fight would look like if Justin lands the same strikes and it's Islam in there.
