Islam vs Arman. Who has improved more since the first fight?

Would say the top p4p guy on a 9 year win streak with more defenses than any of the other champs, over the dude who just won a split decision and lost to Gamrot a couple fights ago.

I'd say Islam, been fighting much better guys, and I think his standup has got a lot better and more technical.

Age wise, Arman should have.
But I feel like Islam did.

From now on Islam should improve slower. 27 vs 32 in age.

All depends on when their next matchup will be. If Islam is 34/35 his chances get slimmer

Islam has to be one of the most P4P improved strikers in the division if not the sport.

He has absolutely no trouble hanging with Charles and Poirier on the feet and does it CLEAN. His counter striking is outstanding.

This isn't even mentioning the head kick KO over Volk.

Arman has much better kicking, flexibility and I would give him a speed advantage.
Everything else is either equal or in favor of Islam.

Islam it’s not close. He’s achieved a new level very few have achieved in MMA.

Islam has better striking, better wrestling, better submissions, and he’s fought and finished world class competition.


Armans biggest tests have been against Islam, Gamrot, and Oliveira. He lost against Islam and Gamrot, and got a coin flip decision against Olives where he resorted to stall to hang on for a decision… probably would’ve been finished in a 5 rounder.
