Media Islam proving he is more anyone/anytime than any champ we've seen

Islam just defended his belt. Maybe the kangaroo fucker can defend his?

Yes, I've shared the same sentiment towards Volk needing to defend vs Yair and Allen but that's not what this threads about, it's about Islam. Stay on topic kid.

I don't see him going in the WW division in a short amount of time.

I heavily favor Islam in a rematch against Volk. He's not hit his prime yet, and unless the rematch is in Australia again I believe that Islam will have more time to recover from the weight cut.

If they do fight again, I see it going like the GSP vs BJ Penn feud (close first fight, one sided rematch) minus the greasing.

If he fights a few top 5 LW's in a row, he might catch up to Charles Oliveira's run.

Charles:
Justin Gaethje
Dustin Poirier
Michael Chandler
Tony Ferguson
Kevin Lee

Islam:
Alexander Volkanovski
Charles Oliveira
Bobby Green
I am not hating on him or you when I say, slow the fuck down on the whole "any time anywhere" talk until he defends a few times against ranked opponents.

To all you white and yellow belts...this used to be a common standard! Stop weakening shit.
You sound like WWF turned MMA noobs who wanted to crown Brock Lesnar P4P GOAT with a 6-1 record!

I look forward to Islam proving how dominant he is (or not) in the next few years.

TLDR: crown him after he proves it, not before he proves it.
Don't leave out Moises, Hooker and Dober all good wins for Islam and Id argue better than Kevin Lee and Tony Ferguson. Fun fact btw Islam has more ranked wins than Oliveira.

This sounds reasonable. Volk said in an interview that he cut like 6-8kg (13 - 17lbs), and he stil wanted to be light and fast. That would make him 170 fight night.
It could be that Islam did cut more, like 20lbs, but was not able to regain everything and ended up being lighter? Something around 170 too?
But then again there should not be such a big weight advantage from 170 to 175 that Volk should be worried about, if they rematch and will have more time to rehydrate.

yea, I don't know where Islam was actually at as far as weight. It is not really about getting back the few extra pounds, it is much more about recovering the gylcogen/energy/strength that Islam did not seem to do adequately in that fight, hurting is strength, movement, cardio, etc. That would be the major difference if there is a rematch.

I agree. It will take a minimum of 48 hours to fully replenish glycogen stores once they are depleted. This requires a high carbohydrate diet (60-70% of the energy coming from carbohydrates) and rest during the recovery time. It takes even more time, if the body is also dehydrated. That’s why the cyclists do IVs to support and speed up glycogen load.

Islam / muslim fans delusional again
He's a duck will never fight at ww..
Of course theirs no rematch has terrified to lose and lw has the easiest stylelistic matchups for him a division full of strikers with bad tdd. Only one left is beneil who has a chance
