Islam Makhachev's 16 fight winstreak are more umpressive then Anderson Silva's

If JDM is supposed to be this big achievement for Islam, that same argument can be applied to Forrest Griffin. Silva and Makhachev both moved up. Both against clumsy fighters with an awkward style. JDM was a current champion and Forrest just lost his title. But Forrest also beat Rampage to get his title, who was better than anyone JDM beat.

Not to mention Silva destroyed Forrest, and gave one of the most memorable performances ever in that short fight.

Idk but prime Dan Henderson(probably top 10 all time or close) is a pretty good freaking win for Anderson. 2nd round sub. People love to discredit andesons title reign. Even if Islam does break his victory record he will never have 10 title defenses with most of them being spectacular finishes.

Islam best 3 wins clears Anderson's best wins, however, Silva overall body of work is still stronger imo, 11 of those 16 wins for Anderson were title fights and 4 were up a weight class (3 of them were on PED). Meanwhile 4 out of Islam past 8 wins were opponents coming on short notice and before that he had to go through a lot of unranked guys to get to the title.

Just ran the calculations, and Islam has not done enough to regain his #1 P4P spot. Do you agree? The model also compares both fighters recent fights and sees Ilia's last 3 fights as more impressive. They are really close, but I think Islam just needed a finish to regaing that #1 spot.

Islam is mostly boring, Anderson fights were must see TV. As for their level of competition, it’s pretty similar.

Brother I love Anderson, but Islam has not put up anything like the Maia or Leites fights.

Or that time he decided that tkoing Bisbing at the end of the round was the end of the fight and the ref was crazy so Anderson is just gonna run out the clock after that.

Brother the Maia and Leites fights were just Anderson showing how superior he was, he could have finished both at any time, and those were literally his only two decisions during his reign.

In the Bisping fight he was already washed and broken, but his peak was one masterpiece after another, no one has ever matched that aura since.
