So
-meeting in europe todaybto discuss stronger sanctions on russia and rest of regime axis
Talk of the 'no bombing' option being discuss but will prob be shot down by obama

-reports of chlorine gas drop in hama far from fromt lines on civilians
Regime continues to press counter attack there as rebels are busy with a byzantine level of mergers and reorgainisations following infighting

-4th wave of euphrates shield to start soon with isis held al-bab and manbij being targetted.

-rumours the iconic toddler sitting in ambulance coverd in dust and his own blood has died in a more recent air strike in aleppo

Funny how many gas attacks seem to happen after govt advances

Funny how many gas attacks seem to happen after govt advances
Every time the Syrian army makes major advances, stories about civilian casualties get posted on nearly every front page. Yet nothing of this sort gets reported when "moderate" rebels have the momentum. It's also hilarious how hard the media is trying to sell the gas attacks when the government is winning. Chemical weapons are the weapons of the desperate, not the side getting the upper hand.

So lets see the issues with this post
-there is no syrian army anyolre..aint been for some time, regime militas are in this area doing the fighting
In this case its the Tiger forces milita under ' general 'hassan' whos milita acts as a sort of command one for the smaller local regime ones to rally around.
-past chlorine gas attacks have now been confirmed down to the helicopter brigades used...russia blocked at u.n
-the regime does a lot of stuff thats normaly considered desperate ona regular basis..its part of a punishment and fear strategy to break the populace.
-winning is a subjective term, they have rolled back some of the recent rebel offensive not all and are well aware rebels are still sorting out new mergers and breaking up al aqsa members into new units
-this was no where near frontlines

We pretending they didnt happen now?
This was no where near frontlines too

They could very well have happened, there is no reason for the Syrian govt to do them though. Why would they want to attract even more negative international attention when they're currently kicking ass conventionally.

Lets not pretend the rebels haven't been accused of using chemical weapons too

They seem to be winning in aleppo where it matters. The much hyped offensive to break the siege of aleppo led to nothing and now the govt forces are advancing in the city itself. Some back and forth offensives in hama mean little.

More rebel pockets collapsing as well

They did happen and theres plenty of reasons for them to do it esp as theybare seemingly immune from international blowback

Yes by web based conspiracy people

-Rebels now control the largest area of any group in aleppo
And by back and forth u mean the offensive that was one strongpoint away from hama city proper ? Once the rebel command is finished merging and reorgainising itl be hard to see the regime militas stop them rolling forward again ...esp with winter incomming to ground planes more often.
And worse for the regime...hilary incomming

I obviously mean aleppo city, the important part you know?

We'll see how that goes. I wont be surprised to see more jihadi infighting in the future

Using foriegn troops to take cities and having rebels control all of countryside worked out so well in afghanistan and nam ,

We will see, id say this last desperate push is to make some kind of gains before the hilary 'reset' and winter weatber kicks in.

So news
-sa foriegn minister increasing weapons to rebels in wake of talks going no where

-russians claim grozny as sucess model the are aiming for!

-putin caught on camera about new sanctions ''screw their sanctions'' ...the man gives 0 fucks
Russia sends anti sub ship to syria...prob about as likely to detect a u.s sub as a fishing trawler would

Not imminnent thanks to the russia intervention anymore ( the third time the gov has had to be rescued from collapse) but inevitable...writings been on the wall for some time.
If the regime cant summon enough willing local fighters then its history...foriegn gains in aleppo city are meaningless long term without that.

You are delusional as always.

Winter doesn't favour the rebels when they are under siege and are losing ground. Each offensive gets rolled back easily.

Also, in case you didn't notice there's 60k battle hardened Iraqi troops assaulting mosul right now. Where do you think they'll go next when they're done.

BEIRUT: The army announced Tuesday the arrest of a suspected ISIS "emir" accused of plotting to target popular tourist locations, economic centers and a major television channel in regions across Lebanon.

An army statement said Imad Yassin admitted during interrogations to drawing a detailed plan to target locations that included the oil refinery in Zahrani and a power generation station in Jiyyeh, both south of the capital.

KFC and Casino du Liban in Jounieh, north of Beirut, and the historic “Monday Market” that dates back to the 19th century in the southern town of Nabatieh were also on the list of targets.

In addition, the suspect had intentions to target Al Jadeed TV station in Beirut, as well as plotting to assassinate prominent, but unnamed, political figures, the statement added.

The statement alleged Yassin also confessed to the murder of four people, taking part in the killing of four others, and executing five blasts in the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon.

It said he established an organization called “the League of Muhajireen and Ansar in the Levant” with links to ISIS in Raqqah, eastern Syria.

The suspect also allegedly divided Ain al-Hilweh into military zones and appointed commanders and an affiliated advisory council.

According to the devised plans, in case of any combat between his organization and Lebanon's military, the militants would target army warehouses, centers and units.

So we're ignoring all the foreign support and fighters the jihadis have now?
