He outworks people, he doesn't dominate them (except Zombie and Yair).
Most of his 5-0 decisions weren't dominance either - they were mostly competitive rounds that he pulled slightly ahead in. That's what he did again tonight.
Aldo dominated Edgar and Mendes. No adversity to speak of.
Edgar 1: 76 (mostly hard) to 60 (mostly pitter patter) strikes while also manhandling him to defend 9/11 takedowns, easily popping up on the two successful ones.
Mendes 2: 102 to 77 strikes (blowout numbers), 7/8 takedowns shrugged off.
This is the difference between them, why some still say Aldo. (I'm not one of them, I say Volk, but I can understand their point.)
