Since that fight he has fought twice. If you ask me, He looked worse against bautista than he did against Merab. He won, and he looked good, But he was incredibly gassed giving his post fight speech. I thought he might have been sick or something, I didn't think too much of it.

I don't think that's something new, it was most notable in the Bekzat fight where he was fighting for his life to catch his breath in the post fight interview.

Maybe mentally temporarily. Just because he's in a bit of limbo atm being a failed title challenger waiting for an opening to be offered a second, so isn't fighting with that same focus and drive to just attack as he had when it felt like destiny. And just needs to find that spark again. But I highly doubt he's regressed physically. Not unless he's got injuries eating at him.

Figgy obviously wasn't in the best shape. He looked gassed in round 3. That's not normal Figgy. Might be age, might be an injury. Might be both.

It was up to Umar to take risks and cut off the octagon. But he didn't want to take risks.
