Had to laugh wading through Twitter and seeing a reply from 'The Vox Agency' to certain journos commenting on the fact that Nicco Montano missed weight by an incredible 8 pounds - "Hi there, we sent you a DM regarding Nicco Montano's experience with weight cutting."

Okay, press release incoming, guess this is going to clear things up. 8 pounds??! Let's go, must be pretty huge.

No apology to Yanan who made weight, just a bunch of whining. No real medical insights, nothing extraordinary, just more whining. Apparent admission to having testicles. Narcissistic focus on how she'll 'pick herself up' and an attempt to position herself as somehow inspirational to others despite embarrassing herself, the UFC, and MMA once again.

I can only hope The Vox Agency weren't actually responsible for this, because it's a PR shitshow.

You refused to LOSE weight and tried to carry as much weight as possible into your cut. Her excuse sounds like she has no control over her weight. You can lose weight in the form of muscle, or fat before your cut. You chose not to do that because “you’ve done it before.” Your excuse is trash and I hope to god you are unceremoniously released.

Weight cutting is Fncking stupid.
Fighters should have to fit into a weight class which is a range of 10 lbs for most divisions. Hitting the top of the range for one weight check is stupid. Weight checks 6 times for the 6 weeks before a fight. 6 weeks out, 3 weeks out, day of the fight scheduled weigh ins. 3 random tests. Weigh too heavy = 10% fine every time. miss weight twice you are ineligible for POTN bonuses or your win bonus. Fighters will select the division that their able to stay within while in fight shape.

If you are a FlyWeight then its 116-126. In the mens FLYW fighters weight should be changed to 136-145 because that's what they weigh on fight night. Adjust the classes to make sense.

That’s not a valid excuse. If you know your metabolism is wrecked because of years of cutting, you should have allowed yourself more of a buffer by losing as much weight as possible before your cut. You can’t leave just enough wiggle room that you’re walking a razor’s edge and then pretend like it’s not your fault when this happens. She’s an excuse machine.
