Opinion: Is Weili Zhang the Greatest Strawweight of All-Time?

In goat conversation numbers don't lie Weilli has won 6 title fights, Joanna has won 6 but is 0-2 h2h. It's not like Joanna a different generation either she's 2 years older. Goat is Zhang.

While Rose has had some incredible performance it takes more than 4 title wins to be in the conversation.

Rose'll be remembered as the best fighter of her era and division.
She lacks consistency for psicological reasons, we know that sometimes for weird reasons that not even her probably knows she underperforms: her record may be look weird but when she's on it's beautiful to watch her fight.

She's in a weird spot, we can argue that JJ or Zhang have better resumes but 4 fights tell us who the better fighter is.

I think shes the most boring of the 3 easily Joanna is consistantly the most entertaining WMMA fighter of all time and also the best Strawweight with out question in my eyes. Joanna does not have one single dud or boring fight. Where has rose has one of the worst title fights ever and 2 losses to the worst of all the Flyweight champs

Besides being 0-2 to carla, and 0-1 to KK, rose barely made it through the 2nd time against tecia and andrade. A lot of people have her 0-2 vs tecia because that 2nd fight was basically a coin flip and the andrade fight was not pretty in either of the attempts. Weili and JJ blew away andrade. Weili and JJ both had full control over tecia and certainly didnt lose or have coin flip fights with her







Roses resume just doesnt hold up against mutual competition that weili and JJ tore apart. Its not just carla. Its in addition to KK, tecia 2x, andrade 2x

The h2h wins are the only things that rose has here to keep her somewhat relevant to this convo. Otherwise she has nothing

Weili should defend again. She has some stylistically easy match ups ahead of her. I'm of the opinion that the next person to beat weili will do so via striking since Weili's chin seems to be getting worse, and despite being a good striker, she is hittable. Fortunately for her, while her chin has been getting worse, her wrestling has been improving and the top contenders in her divisions are grapplers who aren't going to test her questionable chin. She can use the same approach she used against Suarez to beat virna, for example.

I feel like if she just fought more, she could take the SW goat status in the minds of everyon this year. Unfortunately, she only fights like once every 15 months.

Not a good look on those losses but when it counted Rose won via KO or dec over ZW and JJ. At their best Rose wins out here, especially since they were all in their prime when they fought.

When it counted, Rose lost to Carla twice both times with gold on the line.
