Is Tatiana Suarez Overrated?

She has a rare skillset in the division. She presents problems for everyone in the division. Carla is a grappler to but suarez is much bigger.

doesn't seem like anyone will be able to avoid her takedowns though..

but against higher level opponents, I think she will need to improve her striking a bit to set up those shots.

She didn't look too bad on the feet against Carla from what I remember. Moved reasonably well.

She could conceivably be the champ, but there's a lot of questions and no definitive answers yet.

She is truly the female Khabib, and unlike Khabib, there's virtually nobody in her division who even has the power to KO her.

Other than adding Tecia to your list who would be helplessly taken down and controlled with ease. This is pretty much thoughts I've voiced of if she could hang with someone who is gonna punisher her takedown attempts. We're all just guessing until we see if she's really ready to dominate everyone.

I completely agree and the only reason I listed Tecia is because she's so fast and it's hard to get a hold of her. Also, she's fought people like Rose, Joanna and Andrade and she's never been finished.

She is big and knows how to use her strength to get takedowns, so she should be able to get everybody at 115 down. Kind of like Khabib, it doesn't matter how good your defense is, Suarez will get them down.

Guess you didn't see Esparza ragdoll Rose. Stylistically Rose is probably the easiest fight in the division for her.

Also how can you call Esparza a small wrestler but bring up Tecia?
 
Sadly she doesn't fight often enough because opponents don't want to fight her. Calvillo called her out, but Calvillo lost to the girl Suarez destroyed in her last fight.
 
Khababe is coming for that belt, no easy fights for Rose
 
Hm from looking at gifs she seems scary, big tough gul. A little reckless maybe, but thats WMMA for ya. Like when the dudes said fuck tactics and threw bombs from round 1. Way back when.....

One can't always fight someone ranked above you.
Tecia Torres, ranked 7, just fought somebody barely ranked 15 (after Dern's pregnancy got her bumped off the rankings and opened up a slot).

I did see that fight, but that was years ago and Rose has improved in leaps and bounds.

And Tecia is small, but she's physically strong; people underestimate how strong she is because of her height. Also, I brought Tecia up because it wouldn't be as easy for Tatianna to ragdoll Tecia like she did to Carla.
