Aikido though has never been proved effective out of its comfort zone (i.e. they already have your wirst under control) so no, i don't think he can do some of the things he said.

It shows your lack of martial arts experience. You think everything has got to be muscled or you think everything has got to be MMA oriented. I have had exposure to so many Japanese styles and aikido as well. I studied on hard wood so the throws were limited. Shit is real. A friend of mine fought all over Asia on a katate team lead by the head of the Japanese karate association. He learned more aikido. He is a cop in Chelsea MA and said he used aikido a lot.

If you sit in disbelief it is because you can watch it and deny it. The only way to know is to go. I am not the ignorant on here.

I tried out Aikido firsthand with black belts and wanted to give it a try.
Had experience in Karate, Judo and Aiki Jutsu. At that time I just wanted to look with an open eye at all sorts of MA. Also tried out boxing and many other MAs. It failed in all accounts. In the end every martial art defines its worth in how applicable its tecniques are in hard sparring / fight and Aikido is complete utter shit in that.

Its basically some judo throws and small joint manipulation. I do know how to do these things but contrary to pure Aikido practitioners I know their limits and there are many. It was sad how deluded everyone was about their fighting skill.

Put a midly talented man into wrestling class and after 3 months training he walks through every Aikido black belt like a knife through butter.
