But I remember once, at my home in Miami, I believe it was in ’96 or’97, Van Damme was there with Seagal, Willis, Schwarzenegger, Shaquille O’Neal, Don Johnson and Madonna… it was a heck of a party. Van Damme was tired of Seagal saying he could kick his ass and went right up to him and offered him the chance to step outside so he could wipe the floor with him, or should I say wipe the backyard with him. Seagal made some excuse and left. His destination was some Ocean Drive nightclub in Miami. Van Damme, who was completely berserk, tracked him down and again offered him a fight, and again Seagal pulled a Houdini. Who would win? I have to say I believe Van Damme was just too strong and Seagal wanted no part of it. That’s just my opinion.
Shertards can bitch about him but great martial artists (including UFC champs) seriously respect his skill.
.
He is impossible to choke out because of his Chins
Oh I agree. He's a scummy human being though.Fixed it for you.
Note that as much as an asshat as Segal comes across or may well be I still respect his accomplishments and skill. His early flicks were rather enjoyable.
wow I didnt know he did kyokushin! thats bad ass![]()
He is 100% legit
Look how he completey destroyed Feijao. Feijao looks confused as hell at the speed and accuracy of Seagal. I had to slow the video down to see it properly. And Feijaos career went to complete shit after this encounter.
Stallone is fucking liar and steroid user. JCVD was drunk, he was wasted and Seagal didnt want to embarrass him so he walk away. This is what happened.Sylvester Stallone even said in an interview about how Seagal was scared shitless of Jean Claude Van Damme when he challenged Seagal to a fight, at Stallone's house party. Stallone said that Seagal ran, hid and left the party with JCVD going around looking for him. 3rd person, audio interview by Stallone, on YouTube.
I think Seagal's standing obviously relates to how seriously one takes aikido. I've gathered that there's kind of a consensus on Sherdog that aikido isn't all that useful, but I don't know much about the details.
1. How well does aikido rank against traditional martial arts like karate or judo?
2. How well does aikido rank against disciplines like boxing or wrestling?
3. Why are there no aikido fighters in the UFC?
4. How well would a top ranked aikido practitioner fare in MMA?
Protip:
You've been successfully trolled.
You're a WWE dumbass or something.
These UFC Champs.....such as Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida, can hardly speak English. Segal just shows up and bothers them with his bullshit......then claim he was "training them".....and they're just fucking, POLITE, Brazilians who didn't kick his gigantic ass, out. Either that or they're looking to score a movie gig somewhere down the line (as they're getting old) with Seagal's nasty fat ass, and maybe kickstart their own Hollywood careers. Because the only thing amazing about Seagal is his ability to crank out 1-2 shitty movies per year, consistently, for the past THIRTY (almost) effing YEARS.

What's your lineage?
Just asking cause there's a ton of fluff air throw schools out there.....
Akido is bs and Seagal is even more bs
Van damme is a European and ,i may be mistaken, a one time world champ. No he didn't. He went on arsenio hall's show a week or 2 aftet Va Damme was talking shit and when they played the clip for him he said they could do it luce on the air and Hall could be the referee. VD didn't want any part of him. Dude was a fucking gymnast, nit a fighter.
