Is It Time for the UFC to Move On from Joe Rogan?

Consider it's juxtaposition to Bellator's personality disorder in Goldie, Big John, and fuckin' Josh Thomson.
 
Rogan got me into MMA a decade ago, but it is indeed time to move on. Somewhere around 2016-2017 he started to free fall. It's not fun listening to him commentate anymore. Boiler plate, jarring, uninspired. Still a good dude and deserves respect, but yeah. Move on.

It's become too evident that he is a company man, he used to have more integrity but he has completely sold out now. We don't need a spin doctor in the commentary booth, we need someone with more integrity that isn't that close to Dana and the ufcs interests.


This all started when he declared rhonda a once in a lifetime athlete and its gotten way worse over the years. He is unbearable to me. He should go back to doing fear factor and irrelevant shows like that because that's the level where his credibility has receeded to.

Does it count as selling out if literally nothing changes about the podcast?
 
Rogan isn’t necessarily the problem but the team together is. Start with getting rid of Cruz. He’s too arrogant, gets bogged down in minutiae and gets offended easily and starts to argue with his colleagues.
Anik is great for reading ads and promoting upcoming fights. Rogan knows enough about the game to commentate. Get a fighter on there with some personality to give some insight and entertain.
I can’t remember the last time the UFC had a commentator with a little personality. Maybe let a female announcer give some color commentary for a change
 
He's barely there any more these days anyway. How many cards did he do this year? He only does US PPV and all their big fights are in Abu Dhabi.

Joe has been cringe since pretty much day 1. I know he's been involved in since UFC 12, but just listen to the commentary at UfC 37.5 where Joe first became a color commentator and it's almost as bad even back then.

And yes, get rid of Bruce Buffer too. His voice just isn't that great, especially these days, and he's way over the top
 
Yes it's time to move on and no I don't think Bisping is the answer.. I can't believe the some of the comments I'm seeing on this latest broadcast.. it was bad. Like real bad. There were times where a few of us in the room just looked at each other after one of Bispings 2 minute spiels.. he somehow cuts people off to interject with a long winded story that, by the end of it, he's arguing the other side of his point. Dude talks in circles. and the screaming... tell me judges aren't hearing that shit..... Bisping should be relegated to the contender series IMO. He can scream and yell all he wants on there and it will probably get viewers fired up.. but on a PPV man my god..
 
Be careful what you wish for. People across all known sports routinely hate on the commentators. There's a lot worse than Joe out there. I think it's a good idea to vary the commentators so we don't get sick of them, but I don't want Joe gone. It would be odd never to hear him on a big fight card again.
 
I dont have a problem with rogan, as most of the criticisms stated above can be applied to almost every commentator the ufc has. Especially DC.

Its actually pretty funny that bisping is the more unbiased of the whole group. Anyways, its just become fashionable to shit on rogan. I get that there are some legitimate complaints too, but really I dont see joe rogan as a real problem that warrents all this hatebanging
 
They all suck absolute ass.

Dc is tolerable.

Fighters are wrong about shit too often. They should stick to things they are certain of. Things they are absolute experts in.

When they start calling out random shit off the top they generally end up being wrong or giving inaccurate calls.
 
I wish they had one dedicated commentary team. I feel like its just a side job for all these guys so they never take it that seriously.
(not saying they cant have fun but treat it like irs an actual job not just some guest appearance)
