Is It Time for the UFC to Move On from Joe Rogan?

Joe, Bruce Buffer, and the ring card girls are all a bit antiquated in our sport.

However, I think once we remove Joe or he retires, we will miss hin

Almost a decade?
"His enthusiasm and style" meaning his overly hyperbolic and excited yelling. In the good ol' days, pre-Ronda, he was a bit more down-to-earth. Still, Let him be enthusiastic. Casuals love that shit, and whenever anyone points out it's lame to cater towards casuals, the Sherbor Young Business Leaders (TM) make sure to scream that it's a for-profit business and that all that matters (in life) is dat profit baby $$$$

It's time for the retired Veteran fighters with smooth talking skills and charisma to take over the calls for UFC events. I love having DC, Dan Hardy, Paul Felder, Bisping, Cruz in the seats giving us real information from an actual point of real practical experience in the Octagon. DC's ideas are so smart and intuitive that fighters call them the, "cheat codes," that they can use when grappling during this no crowd Covid era. We are very, very lucky to have DC in the seat taking about grappling and teaching us what fighters should be doing.
Dom Cruz , "Connor is tiring Khabib out"

Tbf Khabib was gassed during the Conor fight, having tried so hard to finish during the 2nd. Ultimately he performed so well that he was able to recuperate, Conor was broken and gassed too due to Khabibs output, but anyone that doesn’t think Khabib gassed during that fight is a pure nut hugging mug.

Yeah, ok Connor was winning until he gassed. That was idiotic commentating by Cruz.

He’s been shite for ages. So sick of him incorrectly influencing people’s opinions of fights with his pish analysis(if you can call “w0000w he’s hurt analysis)

It’d be great if the commentary consisted of just former fighters/ coaches but that doesn’t appeal to the casuals in the same way.

At this point i just think (My Opinion) Joe doesn't see it as a job any more, his more like a high semi drunk Fan now with ring side seat and getting paid to do it!!
but most of us wish we could have seen as many fights as he has ringside he is getting kinda bad...

I'm one of those morons who've always liked Joe Rogan's commentary.

I know he makes mistakes ("he's hurt" etc) but I think he makes up for them by being pretty good at explaining certain aspects of the fight (I think his grappling commentary is pretty good, he can break things down in a way that's a bit more entertaining than most, while still having technical knowledge)

But I gotta say now that they've started to have more and more events without him, I haven't really been bothered. I'm fine with him only doing a few events. But would miss him if they dropped him completely.
I think the current situation is great - I enjoy Joe for the big fights.

I'm pretty easy to please though, I think Anik, DC, Cruz, Hardy, Gooden, etc are fine too and have grown into the roles.
(But sometimes I think DC jokes around too much)

I’m a huge Rogan fan, but he seems to be too busy to do his job properly. I prefer to see him continue with the Fight Companion Podcasts and leave the commentary to former UFC athletes.

Lol at the Sherdoggers complaining about Rogan being too much of a company man when his replacement is likely to be moreso...

Yes move on. Thanks for the commentary.

By the way, Joe has clearly moved on. I am waiting for him to confuse fighters.

I think it is. Rogan is being called a sellout by maaaany of his fans on the web for moving to spotify, and also because lately his commentary has been too biased for the more marketable fighter that the ufc is trying to push.

It's become too evident that he is a company man, he used to have more integrity but he has completely sold out now. We don't need a spin doctor in the commentary booth, we need someone with more integrity that isn't that close to Dana and the ufcs interests.

This all started when he declared rhonda a once in a lifetime athlete and its gotten way worse over the years. He is unbearable to me. He should go back to doing fear factor and irrelevant shows like that because that's the level where his credibility has receeded to.

It started before Rhonda Rousey. I'd say that Joe completely sold out about 10-11 years ago. He went from great, to not good, to really bad in the span of a couple of years. It's a shame, I used to be a big fan.

Rogan has all the talent as an announcer that he has hair.

Get new ones. Stephen Quadros and Bas Rutten.

I think Joe has to grow some more to stay in the UFC. Lame ass commentating is ok since other orgs has it worse even do Goldy is doing better ha ha.
His lifts just ain't cutting it anymore with people going 6 feet at atomweight and things only getting worse with weight cutting.
His hair is a problem too!
Am I doing it right?
