Is it Possible?--Bellator & WSOF to put on a Co-promoted Event

On MMA Junkie Radio, I think I heard...

RFA challenged WSOF to a similar cross-promotion Event.



No word from WSOF, yet (ha ha).

The one with more to gain will always offer and the one with more to lose will never take it. At least that's what history has shown us.

I know, I know... sadly, these proposed cross-promotion events are not likely to happen, but I enjoy entertaining the possible matchups/outcomes.

Time for all these orgs. to start stepping up to some cross-promotions.
 
I'm more interested in both organizations now than I ever was before. Bellator has the most to loose but I think it would be pretty cool if they did it.

Why would bellator want anything to do with ali and his zuffa front org? Seriously

Id love to see some cross promotion with onefc, titan, or even glory but wsof needs to be squashed like the maggot it is.
 
It just doesn't work at the end of the day.

Every promoter wants something in his favor. A few orgs once in awhile swap a fighter for a fight and that is about it. They do it like twice and by then there is issues.

I could see maybe them doing something with Glory where there isn't much at risk for either fighter or org. in the terms of out come.
 
Maybe they'll have a Bellator v. OneFC crossover card, where Ben Askren fights one of the Bellator WWs like Douglas Lima or Lyman Good. That would be fun, right guys?

i think what you could see is what SF did with an org like Dream, maybe take a few guys or fighter share with an org. Maybe like let OneFC take a fighter for a fight and bring in Aoki for a fight.

Something like that. You wont see org vs org cards with Bellator/WSOF.

Yeah, we might get something like Aoki vs. Alvarez. I bet that would be a good fight.

But you're right on the money, the WSOF vs Bellator proposal would never come to fruition, but the fighters hopping back and forth would be much much more likely.

Viacom president is definitely interested in cross-promotion. Read the Sherdog article from two days ago.... He specifically states he is for that. With SF Coker worked with DREAM, EliteXC, and M-1 so Coker is definitely down for some fighter sharing.

Fighter sharing isnt cross promotion, cross promotion is both orgs putting on an event together like SF/M 1 present this card.

You arent gonna see that.

I can't see this happening. Too much to lose for either promotion, especially if they throw champions at each other. What does Bellator do when Palhares destroys Lima? What does WSOF do if Dantas beats Moraes?

Just not a good business move in the long run for either promotion no matter how big a co-promoted card would be.

I know the difference. SF fighter sharing with DREAM, EliteXC, and M-1 put on some great fights. SpikeTV president mentioned cross-promotion though...Bellator vs. WSOF cross-promotion may or may not happen but it seems more likely now than it did in January.

you and your bullshit. "when" no way. Lima destroys palhares and Dantas destroys marlon.
 
It's not as cool as it used to be, but it would still be cool. It could make a pretty good ppv, actually.
