Co-promotion is harder in MMA than in Boxing. In MMA the promotion is centerpeice and owns the titles guys fight for. The MMA promotion builds up the prestige of there title and brand.
In Boxing the centerpeice is the Titles, which are owned by 4 seperate governing bodies. The fighter signs with a promoter/manager to direct him towards a title fight. Co-promotion happens alot in big fights due to the fact of purse bidding and that no matter who wins the title, it doesn't look bad on the promotion because they don't own the World Title.
In MMA every promotion owns there version of a World Title. While it prevents co-promoting of REAL UNIFICATION Title fights. It does cut away alot of the corruption that's in boxing, step aside money, sanctioning fees and paying for rankings.
