Is Frank Mir a legend of the sport?

He is top 10 to me.
His longevity as a bridesmaid is impressive.
His wins over Nog still count, even if i think Nog fucked up.

Which of these guys do u rank him over?

Fedor
Nog
Fab
Mirko
Barnett
JDS
Cain
Reem
Handy
Arlovski
Bas
Sylvia
Coleman
Igor
Semmy

I don't have all these guys above Murr btw I have just outside top 10 tho
Murr had nice longevity. I don't think he was ever as good good as a guy like Aleks let alone Sergei at their best (or even Cormier, Hunt or Stipe now) , but career wise he dwarfs those guys (tho Hunt and Stipe aren't far off)

UFC legend yes. MMA legend, no, really good fighter but not great. Someone who isnt even top 10 alltime @ his weight class shouldnt be considered a legend.
Kind of agree with this, although I consider him something of a legend not based on his skill but his way of winning and losing. He's one of those 'kill or be killed' guys and there is a number of videos and still shots of him subbing an opponent or looking dazed from being hit that have an iconic feel.

Strawberries, breaking Nog's arm, slaughtering Bigfoot after knocking him down, Hunt's walk off stoppage, Timmeh....it's been one hell of a ride.

Its hard to say after the first 5 or so, really.
I think he is better than Randy and Semmy and Igor.
He is in the tier with Bas, Coleman, Sylvia, Reem and...... People will shit on this.... Crocop. So, i guess I have him somewhere between 9-13, but Hunt and Stipe, like you said.

He is fringe top 10.
