Is Alistair Overeem the only MMA fighter to have won bouts in 4 different decades?

Izzy didn't take it easy on him. I'm not sure Cormier did either, but it seems more likely since Andy took the fight on 2 days notice.
Ya andy held his own for sure, obviously he was past his prime so shows how good he was but kinda felt like izzy let up a little too on the goat but just my opinion

Oleinik was first I think. Overeem was right after.

Silva seemed less motivated to kill, which made a lot of his post-age 39 fights seem like glorified sparring matches. I get where you're coming from. He did KO Bisping though....that was some bullshit.

Yeah Bisping was done on the stool, yea he was crying about his mouthpiece but the fight was still on, who reffed that mess?

Fairytales.

First of all, when the bell rang,Herb went to Mike and checked to see if he was ok,and he was.

Anderson only hit the knee off Mike distracting himself, about the mouthpiece. His fans actually want to celebrate a win gotten in such a fashion. Which is pretty pathethic, all told.

So if anderson got a free hit, then no one should complain when Bisping said he was fine after the bell rang, and the fight was still on.

Bisping had his mouthpiece in the whole time in the next round, which he won.

A free hit? Lmao the fight wasn't stopped, do you even know the rules? Mike was laid out and wouldn't have even made a 10 count while you're bull shitting

What 10 count? Herb spoke to Bisping and Bisping said im cool. Its on camera.

Wow Yuki Kondo is still fighting ? He must be pushing 50
I dunno how that guy is still in one piece. He was turned to street pizza by Wanderlei the year i joined this forum.

I guess it's sort of a cool statistic, but when you say four decades, you're only talking about 21 years...

Duran fought in 5 different decades.

That shit is crazy.

Doesn't mean a thing.

Why look for things to be proud of in his career when his fights speak for themselves.

I thought this was a pretty cool distinction - The Reem has won MMA bouts in the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s.

I thought perhaps Fedor would have a chance, but alas he made his debut in May 2000. Chael P won in the 90s but retired half way through 2019. Shogun won in the 2020's but debuted in 2002.

Ones who COULD do it...

Minowaman - First win in 1997, fought once in 2020's but lost.
Rampage - Won in 1999, but hasn't fought in the 2020's yet.
Tito Ortiz - Won in 1997, but hasn't fought in the 2020's yet.

Is there anyone who has MMA wins in 4 different decades like Reem, or could possibly do it like the 3 I mentioned?

It's kind of a cool distinction. I always thought it was cool that Roberto Duran won boxing matches in 5 different decades (60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's)

EDIT: Okay so Reem is not the only one. We also have Jeremy Horn and Alexei Olienik, and technically Olienik was the first one to do it. Sick!

Jeremy Horn jesus christ

Bisping crumpled to the mat like a sack of potatoes and just layed there but im sure youre right

Thats not what happened. He was sitting down and was able to talk to Herb just fine.

Hate to be the "technical jerk guy" but technically I don't think decades start until the "1" year rather than the "0" year. Just like technically the millennium didn't start on January 1, 2000... it started on January 1, 2001. (1 to 1000... so the last year of this millennium will be 3000)

So the guys you listed with a win in 2000 WOULD count as having a win in the decade of 1991-2000. (1 to 10) And the guys you listed with a win in 2020 WOULD NOT count as having a win in this decade (2021-2030) since a 2020 win is under the decade of 2011-2020. (1 to 10)

So technically... does that reduce the amount of guys who have done it to 0? I know it discounts Alistair and Aleksei. Does it bump anyone into doing it though? A guy with a win in 2000 and then another in 2021?

EDIT: Just read a few posts above me. Cool, so Yuki Kondo has done it then following the technical rules. Anyone else?
