It’s amateur at best, trust me, you will see the difference vs izzy, it will be like nunez vs pena in the striking
Or Izzy vs Strickland.

To call a champions striking "Amateur at best" while the lad won South Africa's first medal at the WAKO World Championships by winning gold in K-1 style kickboxing, followed by a UFC championship shows a lack of nuanced understanding on your part, mate. It’s amateur at best, trust me, you will see the difference vs izzy, it will be like nunez vs pena in the striking
It’s not about DDP , you can make all the excuses you want to- Izzy is doneI think Adesanya is going to come back at a new level.
Last time we saw him he was complacent, unmotivated.
I think he picks Dricus apart. Dricus will be confident and aggressive, I see him getting sniped and outpointed. His striking is slow and sloppy (despite his recent success, I see him as a flash in the pan that benefited from good timing), his best route to winning is to wreste, grapple and make this a dirty fight.

That was my point , you offered no insightDeep insights there bucko.
I think DDP will win. I don’t trust Izzy coming back. DDP has the more well rounded skillset and we’ve seen him go five rounds now.
Jan was significantly larger, and Izzy's counters come from swaying back out of your reach while still being able to hit you. He couldn't do that against Jan, so his counters never came in to play. DDP does not have that reachwhat if the izzy that showed against jan
jan showed that if your relentless
you can take both izzy and pereira down
I like how you put " was losing to Pereira until he found that chin " in the rematch when Pereira was losing the 1st fight by a wide margin before finding Izzys chin in the 5th round. Clearly not biased lolOne could argue that izzy has been slipping since the Jan fight. He lost to Jan, had a super boring uninspired fight against Vetorri and cannonier, arguable lost to whittaker, lost to pereira, and was losing to pereira until he found that chin in the rematch. Then he got outclassed by strickland.
He just hasn't looked dominant or special for years now.

He cleaned out the division in short amount of time with no long breaks and ducked no one. He's been dominant his entire UFC run but like I said the Strickland fight was very odd.
If he and Strickland fight again and he shows up motivated he'd beat Strickland easy. I just don't feel good picking him against DDP after the way he fought Strickland.
Izzy is fighting for the belt off of 50-45 loss. That's all you need to know about how much the UFC pushes this guy.
Win, lose or draw he's not done at the top he's still young an will be in a few more title fights.
I think it speaks more to the lack of depth in the upper weight divisions.
#5 Cannonier is coming off a TKO loss
#6 Vettori is injured and #8 Costa is out of the picture
Not really because Cannonier got the loss AFTER the fight was booked. Cannonier should have already had the title shot.
Cannonier just isn't seen as championship material for the UFC. He should have gotten the title shot even before DDP, much less be his first title defense.
