Iran wipes out villages over Narcotics

Lol at people hating weed so much.

Go look how many people die from alcohol and cigarettes each year.

Than look up weed related deaths.

But weed is still the red headed step child. So funny how brainwashed almost all Americans are.

By almost all you mean less than half?

http://www.people-press.org/2014/04...uana-legalization-decriminalization-concerns/

Are you stuck in the 1950s or something? A majority of Americans favor legalization and a vast majority oppose any type of jail time for possession.

Because people could make assumptions about me on the basis of it more easily than they could with this one.

I make more assumptions about you now. Before I just assumed you majored in psychology; now I assume you're an ex-Mohammedan and a weeaboo.

Free Fallon Fox Goat too!

Although that's a polite request! Mods could have slammed me the other day as I got irritated and went off a bit. They simply gave me the option to move on and I took it. lol

I prefer the latter assumptions

Well I'm going by this thread. More than a few look at weed like its a nuclear war head

Those guys are trolling and will be banned within a week. Look at the data. Only when you get to people over 65 do you find a simple majority opposed to legalizing weed.

I dont know about that any more either. I work in the field and you would be amazed at how many older people are involved in the program. Especially the cultivation side.

Because I would say they're actually more integral parts my identity and I hated when people would respond with "well since you're a psych major you should blah, blah, blah"

Oh everyone expected you to analyze everything?

Yeah that sort of thing.
Yeah I hear you. I didn't know this new name was you at first, but the responses were so familiar. Now that I know makes since.

Certainly there are many old timers--ex-hippies and the like--that are cool with weed, but they're still the minority.

Of course, that age bracket is dying faster than any other age bracket, so the anti-weed viewpoint will be even less popular in the next couple of decades.

I don't know man, it still seems to rustle a lot of people's feathers.

afghans are to iran as mexicans are to the U.S. a lot of them try cross the border to find work and create a better life, while a minority play russian roulette & try their hand smuggling drugs. the difference is penalties. the iranians are more like thailand or indonesia; if you're caught smuggling drugs, you don't go to prison, you die, end of story.

I had no idea Kafir was psyche.
Easily recognized him as a good poster tho.

Full disclosure, I hate it when people change their names and don't tell me.

Give me a reason why marijuana should be illegal.

activists have pushed towards changing the legality concerning its prohibition. And it's worked in several states to the point of full legalization with several states following their example.

The fact is the legal marijuana industry generates huge amounts of revenue, the taxes earned are incredible. You can be a socialist and still know a good investment when you see one.

So economically it is an obvious choice with regulation like alcohol it's incredibly beneficial from a capitalist standpoint.

Second point is we are incarcerating our countrymen for a harmless "crime". We're also paying for it. Do you truly see no correlation between the legal system and the prison industrial complex?

Third. This is fucking Murica. Goddamn government going to tell me what I can and can't do in the privacy of my own home? My ancestors didn't throw tea into the harbor just so I could go to prison for smoking a fucking plant.

It is really about giving a reason why it shouldnt be illegal, or why we should legalize it.

Frankly, just being able to make money off of it is not good enough. Why not unban everything else you can make money off of too? Plus there are so many other things to "unban" or other things to deregulate for potential economic reasons, that narcotics would and should get tabled until that happens. Legalizing drugs for economic gain really is just jumping the gun at this point.

Those countrymen in jail chose to break the law. ( I dont think too many of them need it for medicine). We dont live in Iran. There are a gazillion things these people could have done for recreation, or heck they could have even gone somewhere legal. They wanted to be cool, and got caught. Yes we spend money on that, but again, we spend even more money on even more wasteful legislation. Legalizing drugs to spring these people so we can save ourselves money should not even be a blip on the radar just yet.

Do you have any evidence tht banning alcohol will result in people just deciding to stop drinking?

Im against the use of drugs, but im also against the ban for the simple reason that it only makes the problem worse.

That girl prostituting herself to buy drugs is doing so because drugs are artificially expensive.

Just because it is legal, it can still be just as expensive. It may start out cheap. But it will rise like anything people can make money off of.
