The US Government knows what it is - meaning they know whether its from an enemy or not. If it was an adversary, they would have attacked it already.

They either don't know where it's from or are controlling it themselves.

Notice how the press secretary was careful to say "They're not US military drones." Meaning it could be Raytheon or another military contractor conducting a test or an operation of some kind on the behest of the military, but the vehicles aren't US military-owned.

It would explain why they're not worried about it. Otherwise it makes no sense at all that you've got mystery vehicles in the air but you claim they're not a threat to the public.

Drones don't have the stamina to make it across the ocean which I guess is why an offshore vessel came up.
