I know it was a while ago, but Phil Hawes controlled him to a decision, Khamzat probably can too. Even old ass Cannonier controlled him for a couple rounds and Allen did for one too. He has power so there's always a hail mary chance, but hard to bank on it.

Whittaker, Izzy, Strickland and others would probably admit DDP has "some kind of offense." You just can't execute it with Khamzat on top of you.

Excellent analysis, and this is someone that said DDP vs Khamzat was a blatant squash match. People can't seem to grasp the concept that your gas tank doesn't get as depleted when the opponent can't put on any resistance and is incredibly easy to take down like DDP.

And Khamzat has decent striking but yes striking with big elite 185ers is a whole different level than having a back and forth slugfest with natural 155 Burns.

I'm not sure if Imavov is the one to do it though, I'd have to review tape.

Actually I think he takes Strickland in a rematch. Strickland has stagnated while imamov got slightly better.

I agree, Strickland used plenty of wall and stall and used his big weight advantage to edge out that decision.

A rematch at 185 instead of 205 should favor Imavov.

Also think he doesn't have anything for Khamzat.
