I wanna see Lopez fight him. Volk bout to have 3 KO losses in a row. Ilia is such a boxing specialist, fast hard technical. Rythm switches, punch choices. He is the best boxer right now in MMA. Max needs to be done with 145. He didn't look good all week. Totally depleted. Having a size advantage is one thing. But he's like 34 so it doesn't work anymore. He looks weak at 145.

Hand fighting in MMA is extremely underrated technique

Essentially he is isolating Max's ability to jab in that KO sequence leaving him free to throw his left with full power.

He does it to max's power hand in the first punch that stuns him, if he can touch that hand he knows its not going to be there to counter him when he lunges in

Oh I agree he should fight lopes next, I am just saying lopes isn’t beating him and that is a from a guy who enjoys watching lopes fight. He is a really good fighter, unfortunately he isn’t on ilia level and the harsh reality is no fw is including Volk or max. None of these young guys in the top 10 right now are beating him any time soon either.
