who was over-matched, then you can't hate the NYSAC for taking measures to make sure a lower ranked fighter is not over-matched and smashed to smithereens.
It is actually a good action for the NYSAC to take, for the long term health of the sport. Why? Because it could force these MMA organizations to actually put some effort in making realistic rankings, and not just ranking the biggest celebrity with the most recent exciting win.
These organizations need a proper algorithm which considers experience and results to make the most objective ranking possible.
