Was about to make my 16th thread about this that’d inevitably just turn into

“Bro you should cut”

Me “fuck that! My body my choice”

lol.

So let me explain myself —- Ive lost everything I put on. I just started out fat

And all my cuts end up the same —- a grueling 3 or 3 months… 20 to 30 pounds later.. and I lose enough muscle that my physique looks the same but smaller.

My bulks are really, really clean. I sleep better

My cuts are inefficient. I can’t sleep

And once I lose a certain amount of muscle. I get mad as fuck.

So why wouldn’t I take a break from the cut and get my gains back? Especially since I have a great track record at bulking cleanly

The alternative —- a forever cut —- just has the risk where you end up chasing a 6 pack forever. like into the 160s

For me.. I think I would rather just respect the strength that I’ve built and do 2 month bulk… 3 month cut.. rinse repeat.. just keep running that until I’m 15% bodyfat

If you want to bulk, then bulk. As far as I understand, you don't have to worry about weight classes, so what gives. Not sure how cleanly you bulk if your cutting goal is 15 % BF - that's higher than I think I ever went in my adult life, including on extended times of no matwork after surgeries - but don't let that stop you.

I wasn’t bulking cleanly in the past. In the last 18 months I did a good job of staying within 200-400 calories

I’m still just astonished at how garbage this cut was.

First time I’ve ever done a cut and gotten much less attention from females at the end

I thought clean bulking was defined by how much muscle you manage to build compared to how much fat you gain, and possibly by what form you take your caloriess in, not by how much your calories surplus is calculated to be.

What is your ultimate goal?

You are essentially doing yo yo dieting and never quite allowing your body to reset its equilibrium(set point) bodyweight. Most people think it takes a few weeks or months but no it takes years. From a quick search it is 1 to 6 years which seems about right. I would have guessed 2-3 years.

If you want to achieve a certain 'look' then eat that amount of calories and workout for at least two years.

Yeah I’ve had a belly since Covid.

It does take a long time. Again.. I’m either gonna do it very gradually and just cut more then I bulk… or just do 6 months and get it out of the way. Even then… 6 months really might not be enough. Pound a week.. no more.. even 1.5 pounds is brutal for half a year.

So maybe the first plan is better

A general rule is if waist circumference is <32 you should bulk, >36 cut, skinny fat needs to focus on recomp. With proper programming you can build muscle even when cutting just in very small amounts.

If you have body composition goals in mind it makes more sense to cut first. Get nice and lean and then try to bulk in a sensible manner to mitigate unnecessary fat mass so when your next cut comes up it might be a little easier or effective. If you're trying to get strong you don't really have to get fatter at the same time, it's probably best to eat at maintenance to keep your training intensity up. Recomping can be kinda hard to dial in or just feel like a grind for some people.

Either way, get your protein in and then manipulate fat/carb intake depending on your goals.

Cutting bulking is outdated pro bodybuilder talk.

Just train eat healthy. Extra fat - than eat cleaner, cut out more carbs / sugar and fat. Eat a lot veggies and plenty fruit. Drink water and if it works for you milk.

Train. Sleep well.

Forget the bodybuilder talk, eat the weight you want to be and do it with a two or three year time frame. This seems to be your goal so mentally prepare yourself for it. By constantly changing your goals you end up achieving nothing. Focus on getting stronger, more conditioned/flexible/mobile, etc and you'll be surprised at what you can do without even focusing specifically on looking a certain way...just make sure to do the basics...

This right here 100%.

I’m already strong as fuck. I just miss being able to shoulder press 215. Want to get even stronger.. and just build a reservoir of wholly unnecessary muscle and cut all the fat off

Ultimately want to be 200 pounds with a 6 pack at 5’ 7. Probably a year or two away from that

Also the waist size thing doesn’t work for everyone. If you have a wide build and ab muscles.. you’re gonna have a thicker waist. I mean I still use navy seal cause I ain’t paying for a fucking dexa scan

Are you 200lbs currently? What's your weight?
You mentioned wanting a 215lb shoulderpress, so I am guessing below that?

No I did that before when I was 220.

Now I'm around 200.

Well then you either need to make a choice to just eat enough to support your training and add some weight slowly over 1-2 years or to gain weight with the plan to cut back down.

I don't get the idea of going up and down repeatedly, always seemed dumb to me to intentionally lose weight unless you had a weightclass event or bodybuilding show.. I personally think you would be better off just eating a touch above maintenance and trying to just gain some weight slowly without a major bodyfat increase.

I'm just gonna run a legitimate cycle. I got my E2 tested at 275 MG and it was mid 50s. What's an extra 75 MG? If the blood pressure gets bad.. I'll bail on the cycle. I have ralox coming so gyno isn't really a concern.

So I'm just gonna blast and start at maintenance. Maybe go on a gentle bulk. We'll see.

Haven't you been doing that on repeat whilst posting threads about falling apart and not reaching your body comp goals?

Sounds like you just need to rebuild from the ground up, get on a TRT type dosage and sort everything out for a bit.

I don't think more gear and the same approach is going to work for you.

Look the cut was successful. I was fucking with HGH for 6 months.. Which affects nutrient partitioning and makes it very hard to put on bellyfat.

So I reaped the benefits of putting on aesthetic fat and prolonging a bulk.. Then I cut off the aesthetic fat and kept everything else.. Plus you take gear your face bloat up

So you ask how can I be this insufferable ?

Well the cut really was that worthless... Trust me. If you're natty if you cut down to 25% you at least have a leaner face. But I'm bout to embrace just being a fat ugly motherfucker

So you got to your goal weight after using gear and cutting, but you aren't happy?

Is it because you now look like Zac Efron?
What's behind Zac Efron's 'new' cheeks ...

Are you Zac Efron?
