If Weidman destroys Rockhold will that finally silence the doubters?

NO, not until he beats Jon Jones twice in a row.
 
He needs to beat Jacare. Then I'll be convinced he is one of the greatest mma fighters ever.
 
I don't get this melodrama from this fanbase.

He was the smallest challenger underdog to Silva ever, he was favored in the rematch(I think), he was a good favorite over Machida, and he was a big favorite over TRTless Vitor.

Does it get people upset that people even dare suggest that he can lose?
 
I was convinced after the second Silva fight. I thought people would be silenced after Machida...I really feel that Weidman is going to be one of those guys that will only be liked in his home town. I love the guy, but for some reason people like to hate on the man. If he finishes Rockhold he'll defiantly be a true top p4p in the world.
 
No way. Chris Weidman can win every title in every weight division, win a gold medal next year and become unified HW boxing champion of the world and people still would not give him his due.

If they didn't give JBJ his due, they sure as hell ain't doing it for Chris.
 
Rockhold would be the best win of his career. An absolute beast and a tougher fight than Anderson, Vitor or Machida.

Whoever doubts Chris is an idiot anyway.

Anything less than saying "Weidman is the greatest eva!" is considered hating on the man by the Weidman fanbase

first fight = fluke
2nd = basically ko'd him in the first rnd and ended his career in the 2nd round
3rd? = worse than vitor

Isn't Rockhold just a Weidman with better cardio? I really don't see anything Weidman does better.
 
He is convincing me more and more each fight. But yes, that would be the final test I need to truly recognize his status

It would silence me. I know weidman is good, but I want to see him fight someone under 35. He's been fighting 35-38 years olds for the past three and a half years.
