It's not whether or not he will do it "easily". It will take a lot of work and training, but he can get it done. He has been training since he was a toddler. He has arguably the best sparring partner in the UFC. Vitor doesnt want this fight at Middleweight. He wants a title shot at Jones. If it ever happened, it would happen at 205. He doesn't want to fight Anderson. I highly doubt he'd want to fight Machida either. You say he was "relaxed". I would call it hesitant. He didn't rush Anderson because he knew Anderson would time his slips perfectly and counter. Machida is just as accurate but takes less chances. I really don't think Vitor expected Anderson to step forward and kick him in the face. If he were to fight Machida, he would be even more cautious than he was against Anderson. It would be a slow and boring match that Machida would dominate and win by decision. I like Vitor, but I am not blind to his glaring weaknesses. He needs to stick to beating up wrestlers. Maybe he should fight Hendo if he beats Rockhold and have Machida fight someone like Costa.
