If Machida wants a fight at MW...

Lyoto would tool him just like Bones and Anderson did, and he'll try to win from his back.
Lyoto would tool him by doing what? Backing up? I don't think so. If he tried to back up, and there was even the slightest chance Vitor couldn't catch him, he'd make Lyoto come to him and then he'd beat him down.

I think Machida would pick him apart.

lol wtf vitor wont ever even get to fight machida let alone beat him

I'm suggesting him for a fight with Lyoto, since Lyoto wants to fight at MW, I think it'd be a great match up. Vitor has more than enough tools and experience to beat Lyoto. And Lyoto has the same to beat Vitor, I'm just siding with Vitor for this one.

vitors style is tailor made for machida to pick him apart from the outside vitor will "rush" in like you said but machida will run across the cage while punching vitor in the face i hope you know the chances of vitor winning are only by knockout id say 1/10

Lol I'd say more like 6/10. He's a much better fighter than he was in the past, and he's very fast. Fast enough to catch Machida I'd wager. And he's smart, he saw the fight with Hendo and he knows how to make Machida come to him. Everyone does now.

everyone knows how to beat machida ? 6/10 ? im done maybe 6/20 maybe

you make him come to you. That's how you nullify his style. He likes to back up and throw like you said, it's a characteristic of Karate fighters, but if you can make him come to you it makes him slightly more uncomfortable and Vitor isnt the kind of guy you wanna walk into.

That is what Rashad tried though and it didn't really bother Machida at all. He is more than content to throw karate kicks at your legs and body and land a punch here and there to barely win the round all the way to the decision. Vitor has trouble with fighters with good kicks.

Doesn't matter though because I think Luke is going to beat Vitor.

Vitor mixes it up a little better than Dan. But, Vitor does not have Dan's chin. Machida would only need to tap it once or twice and Vitor would be in trouble. Of course, Dan doesn't have Vitor's speed either. So, it would be a fun fight to watch.

In Revelation, Jesus defeats the Dragon... but, this is real life, so anything can happen.

Vitor doesn't want Machida coming after him

YES!!

He probably isn't gonna let that happen twice lol. Machida =/= Anderson either.

Vitor has always had issues with getting kicked. From the beginning of his career all the way to his most recent loss to Anderson. If anyone would be able to land it on him it would be Machida.

Machida is tailor made to beat Vitor. He is a fast counter striker with legendary precision and tdd. Vitor will rush forward, Machida will sidestep him and drop him with a hook or a knee to the abdomen.

I just can't see Machida doing it that easily lol.

It's not whether or not he will do it "easily". It will take a lot of work and training, but he can get it done. He has been training since he was a toddler. He has arguably the best sparring partner in the UFC. Vitor doesnt want this fight at Middleweight. He wants a title shot at Jones. If it ever happened, it would happen at 205. He doesn't want to fight Anderson. I highly doubt he'd want to fight Machida either. You say he was "relaxed". I would call it hesitant. He didn't rush Anderson because he knew Anderson would time his slips perfectly and counter. Machida is just as accurate but takes less chances. I really don't think Vitor expected Anderson to step forward and kick him in the face. If he were to fight Machida, he would be even more cautious than he was against Anderson. It would be a slow and boring match that Machida would dominate and win by decision. I like Vitor, but I am not blind to his glaring weaknesses. He needs to stick to beating up wrestlers. Maybe he should fight Hendo if he beats Rockhold and have Machida fight someone like Costa.

I said he was relaxed in the Couture fight that ended because of Couture's eye injury, if you compare that to the previous time he fought Couture, he was much more confident and relaxed, he knew he belonged there.

Vitor can beat Machida, making it sound like he is such an underdog is an insult to him, both weight classes, Machida, and everyone Vitor has ever fought win or lose. Vitor has the ability to tag Machida quite a bit, rock him, KO, TKO, Submit him, and decision him. I like both guys a lot (probably one of the only people who wasn't mad about Machida vs Hendo) but I'd give the fight to Vitor in this case. At MW he'd beat him, at LHW? It'd be closer but I'd still lean towards Vitor.
