I mean, Aspinall really should just get promoted to actual champ wothout having to fight for a vacant belt right? Did they take his interim belt away? Idk how this works as this type of fuckery has never happened before... Typically the interim champ becomes champ like Renan Barao.

Yes but that was when the Fertitas still ran shit. I don't know what to expect anymore in todays UFC.

But yes when Jon does drop the belt the UFC should hold a press conference/ceremony and officially promote Aspinall as the undisputed champion.

Jones hasn't even agreed to fight Aspinall yet.

You're trying to discuss what should happy if they agree to fight, if Jon actually makes it to the fight, and if Jon beats him, and doesn't test positive.

You need to dial it back 20 notches and was for them to sign to fight one another. Then based on how the fight goes, and if Jon was to win- HOW he wins... that will determine 'what next'.

If it was a razor close split decision, it would mean one thing.
If it was like Anderson vs Sonnen where Sonnen dominated 4 rounds before being triangle, it would mean another thing.
If it was a 30 second shutdown... another thing again.
