This is the fight that probably would of broken all records. An absolute must see fight in their primes.

Say if that fight actually happened back in the day. Would the winner make you believe who the clear GOAT is or it wouldn't have changed much?

I felt style wise it was a perfect matchup. GSP was a wrestler which is Silva's weakness, but Silva is a weight class bigger and older but used to to fight at 170lbs too. So it was a more fair matchup compare to Silva/Jones, where the bigger younger wrestler against a striker from a lower weight.

Both are already considered two of the GOATs, so one of them having a win over the other one would be massive.

There will always be a debate regarding GOAT though, that's not going away. That's asking for everyone to agree on something and that's just not happening.

GSP would've been going up by 15 lbs vs the typical 10 lb difference.
Overall GSP still has/ had the more impressive resumé.

I don't know where I'm going with this.

Well, if GSP had won that fight it would certainly boost his GOAT status.

But there is a reason he refused to take the fight even in front of such a boost in money and legacy: he would be uncomfortable anywhere in the cage with Silva, including in the ground where he was already struggling with Bisping

Their size difference is significant.

Silva fought Forrest and was near the same size.

Around 25lbs of difference in the cage there was betweeen Griffin and Silva that night.
Sherbro eye tests won't change facts.

Right now, Jones is my #1. GSP would be my #2. Anderson Silva is one of my all-time fav fighters, but his horrible performance in his 1st fight with Wiedman, knocked him down a notch. He was never good again after that fight. Fedor's 10 year run will never be matched, but the fact that he never fought in the UFC, and was very average in his Strikeforce and Bellator fight career, knocks him out off my list.
