If dustin poirier is serious about moving up to welterweight, how about him vs RDA?

Discussion in 'UFC Discussion' started by Jpenwell14, Jan 22, 2020.

  1. RDA has a fight this weekend and assuming he cruises through as expected, how about this match up of former champions?

Dustin is desperate for a fight in the dead space he's living in since losing to khabib, even considering 170 lbs. This 155 at 170 trend may well continue on into the distant future, but up next how does dustin do with RDA, fluke ko loss aside?

I like it, 2 southpaws, both quality operators.

Chiesa could fuck that up though.

Heard George Groves refer to Spence Jr. As a "quality operator" and I've been using it ever since lol.

Sounds better than "beast" and "saaaaavage"

Would be a great fight for him to jump right into the deep end of 170. I hope he gets an easier one for his first fight at 170 though just so he can get used to the weight class before taking on the sharks

Dustin should hang around at 155. He doesn't have a big frame and losing to Khabib shouldn't mean you're done at 155. By that logic, every LW needs to move up or down.
